NSV or lesson learned

Ok, so today I made a VERY bad food choice. Like Really really bad. Not because of what I ate (although I will get to that in a minute) but because of why. I let someone else's snarky attitude push me into my bad choice. Long story short, super bad day at work + boss/owner birthday + five layer chocolate vanilla cake= lesson learned.

I learned today, that it doesn't matter how religiously I work out everyday, when I have a piece of chocolate cake for lunch, hitting the gym is like day 1. A workout that should have only been slightly challenging kicked my butt, I barely got to my regular work out let alone through my "Monday crank it up a notch" stage. So, now I feel like crap, I want to be sick, the healthy lean protien and veggie on my plate is not looking good, and the cake wasn't even close to worth it. Even though it seemed like it at the time.

So, NSV or lesson learned? Maybe both?

Lesson learned

Yeah Mozzy I think you are right!

It's just weird, and it kind of makes sense, I mean everyone talks about it, we all know about it, but it's totally true. When you do not fuel your body correctly, all the time, it doesn't work correctly all the time. Kind of like trying to put low grade fuel in your Ferrari. Sure, the car goes, and get you from a to b...but it doesn't GO! Like it is built to.

Lesson learned. There are no mistakes, only experiences which lead us to gather more information which helps us to make better decisions in the future.

Lesson learned. Next time you'll see a cake, there won't be a shadow of a doubt that it isn't worth it. That will be your NSV.

Oh yeah, it totally is. I have figured out a few things that are not worth it over the last few months. Things that I swore up and down were SO good. Yeah, not so much.

Lesson Learned

Especially if it's motivated by stress or life events (although we are HUMAN, just try your very best and get back on that horse) instead of a conscious choice to once in awhile enjoy a piece of cake

At least it's behind you. You'll rock it out next time :)

That's awesome you can see this as something to learn from. That's an GREAT attitude!

DEFINITELY lesson learned.
I did that today too - I binged for the first time in awhile, and I just felt so bad after. Bad emotionally, bad physically - at least you made it to the gym at all! (I didn't.)
Just think about how much better you feel every day since you DON'T eat that way on a regular basis.

Oh yeah totally! I said that to my husband too. It's no wonder we didn't ever get in shape. We felt like crap all of the time lol

"Kind of like trying to put low grade fuel in your Ferrari."

Hahaha! :) Definitely. Seems like a lesson learned to me. Good for you sticking through your workout after a stressful day!
