I finished my first half marathon!
 

I posted this in the Exercise forum, but someone suggested I put a copy here as well :)


Greetings all!

I finished my first official Half Marathon recently! I met all of my goals for it too:

1- Finish!
2- Run the whole time
3- Come in under 2:45. My official time was 2:44:43!!! Although, that includes 2 bathroom stops, one in which I had to wait in line... So I prefer to go by my garmin time of 2:36:06

I also signed up for my first full marathon this fall, which will also be the first race I'm traveling for.

I'm sort of in the mindset of "if something scares me, I need to do it!" 26.2 miles is definitely a bit scary!

Plus, I went to my first Crossfit class this last Saturday, and I am still sore! I think that place is going to really kick my butt.

Anyone else have some firsts they'd like to share?

Congratulations! You beat your goal time by quite a bit - very impressive. I am looking forward to seeing you post about the full marathon. You can do it.

Thanks guys!! They gave me a medal when I finished. It's the first medal I've ever gotten in my life...I want more!!
