NSV - skinny jeans and tall boots!!
 

I've been desiring tall boots for YEARS. 3 Falls in a row I've ordered and returned about 10 pairs of boots from Zappos, with no luck.

This year, I tried on a pair of boots at the Clarks outlet, and even though they weren't wide calf, I could zip them. I didn't buy that pair, but it energized my search this year. Well, the 9th pair was a charm, and I love them! I was wearing them around the house yesterday over my running tights, and that made me want to wear them with skinny jeans. 3 stores and about 15 pairs later, I have fabulous dark skinny jeans to tuck into my gorgeous new boots! Yay!!!!

This NSV came at just the right time - the scale has been a b***h to me lately, and I've gotten frustrated. I needed this.

I'm going on vacation in Ireland with a group of people who haven't see me since I started losing weight, and I can't wait to shock the s**t out of them in my new boots and skinnies! :D:D:D

Congratulations Riddy!!!!! I can wait until I can buy a pair of tall boots with ease. I tried on pair back in August and was just shy off zipping them all the way up maybe I will go back and try them on again.

Meka, the girl at the Clarks store actually encouraged me to pull on the boots and work the zipper up that last little bit. Now these were boots with a little elastic at the top, but I was sure they wouldn't go up. They didn't look good, but just the fact that I could zip them up got me excited.

My new boots are low heeled pull on slouch boots - not what I originally had in mind, but I love them. Last night I was wearing them around the house under my yoga pants, just because I could. :D

Congrats! I used to have the same problem, and just blamed it on my "big Asian calves" Now 7 lbs down, I can easily zip up normal (but not super skinny) boots up over my pants!

The trip was great - we went to Belfast, Sligo, Cong, Galway and Dublin.

I actually over-wore the new boots and gave myself sore feet, but I just couldn't stop wearing them. One day I was walking around with 5 other girls and I realized we were ALL wearing boots with jeans or short skirts & tights. I felt so NORMAL!

Now to lose the 3 pounds I gained on vacation. :dizzy:
