Newbie Says Hello
 

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

My name is Vicky and I just signed up for ideal Protein on Friday and can't wait to get excited. Although, I signed up Friday I am not going to actually start until Monday.

I have a friend who lost a lot of weight with her husband on this diet, so I decided to research it and it sounds like a real sound program..... so here I am!

I have tried alot of diets and have been up and down in my weight. These last 8 months have been tough and I am at my highest weight due to emotional eating :( My mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in March and I have been traveling back in forth to CT from VA because she was at home in a Hospice program. During this time I finally found a doctor who did the right test and found I have HypoThyroidism, but it's been tough getting my meds regulated.

I met my BF when I weight alot less, but he has been real supportive, and hasn't pushed me to lose weight, I just don't feel good about myself right now and needed to do something..... so now since things have settled down, I am excited to get started. :carrot:

I'm new too! Congrats on making the decision to kick your weight loss into gear! I am very sorry to hear about your mother and my heart goes out to you. I also have gained weight recently-about 30 pounds-and need to lose about 50 to be at a healthy weight. Just wanted to let you know you are not alone and good luck on your journey!!
