I'm in a Bikini Summer 2012! (pictures)
 

This is a milestone for me to once again be back in a bikini. I feel I have grown a lot during my weightloss journey and is really starting to shape who I am for a person. In a way I am glad I put on the weight that I did, as it has changed my outlook on life. I feel I have grown both mentally and physically stronger since the journey began 11 months ago. I am starting to accept myself for who I am, and am coming to terms with the body I have. I no longer envy other women for their perfect bodies and I have accepted my own. I've got flaws throughout my body such as scars and stretch marks. But I'm learning to embrace them as they are apart of me. I'm also learning to be happy and try to smile more often and not be so down and depressed all the time. So here's to the new me, just in time for summer. I still have a bit more to go until I reach my goal weight but I am happy to see how far I've come.

SW: 170 H:5'3 BMI 31(ish?, I forget the exact number) CW: 127 H: 5'3 BMI: 22.5 Measurment: Bust: 35 Waist: 28 Hip: 35 Weight loss so far: 43lbs GW: 115-120

Thank you so much for the kind words everyone! I hope this gives some courage to other curvey women like me to go out and try a bikini :) Also one other thing, don't get discouraged if the first one doesn't fit, it took me a few times to try something that looked half way decent on me :)

I'm brand spanking new, and this is exactly the motivation I need. You are beautiful, yes. You are skinny, yes. But you also look so healthy and so happy and that is so inspiring! Try, try, try to throw out those insecurities because you look perfect!

YAhhoooo... you know I have never in my life worn a bikini. By choice when younger but because of weight as I got older. Someday I will be able to wear one :)
