What is your goal?

I want to lose 2 to 3 lbs per week to have a flat tummy. I'm keeping a healthy lifestyle right now. Eating only fruits and vegetables. How about you? What is your ultimate fitness vision?

stimkovs 04-09-2012 04:32 PM

My ultimate fitness vision? to run a marathon. to have low enough BF percentage to have abs, to be fit enough for my skin to bounce back.

ubskinnyagain75 04-09-2012 05:50 PM

My goal is to no longer be a fatso....

Took the words out of my mouth!! This is exactly what I want as my goal, but clearly it's been failing. I've been fluctuating from 190-194 for the past few weeks, but I also started eating bad carbs again..blehh

gypsy137 04-09-2012 08:32 PM

Well I have a few goals but the ULTIMATE goal would be healthy, go off my blood preassure meds and, comfortable in my own body.I could also add not to be the biggest chic in my group of friends;). I have always been overweight/obese.
My most current goal is to lose 100lbs and join The 100lb Club. Thank goodness I am almost there. I never thought I could stick with it as long as I have. My thinking has been so different. I look at losing weight as my lifestyle not a diet. Its helped me so so much thinking this way.

you cannot get good lasting results eating "only" fruits and veg. you NEED protein and fat in your diet.

if you don't have fat in your diet, you will be unable to absorb vitamins D, A, E, and K (which is crucial for blood clotting).

i'm on a VLCD of 750 cal/day (i have to lose a total of roughly 100lbs, maybe a bit more - we'll see when we get closer to that end of the scale) and have lost 16lbs since march 1st but i still eat eggs, meat, fish, etc. the only thing i don't eat is processed grains (bread, pasta, etc) bec they make me feel like crap when i eat them (probably a *that*-close-to-getting-diabetes-again thing).

it's important to have a healthy balance diet in order to get the best results - temporary diet = temporary results.

learn proper eating habits and you will have permanent results.

I was just curious, is the VLCD something that doctor directed or something you just decide to do yourself? I've been wanting to try this but I keep hearing that it's bad to eat below your bmr etc etc, so I haven't, but I was just curious since I'm beginning to see the VLCD a lot around the threads.

My ultimate goal is to weigh between 120 and 130 and continue living healthy so that my weight isn't a constant nagging worry in the back of my mind.

Tonyia 04-09-2012 11:53 PM

To be as thin as I was 5yrs ago BUT much healthier!

HERMIONY 04-10-2012 06:30 AM

my goal is to get to my highschool weight! another 14 kilos to go!

Iyakamae 04-12-2012 06:24 PM

My overall goal is to make my little boy proud. He always tells me that he wants me to be skinny and though that sounds mean, I know his heart is in the right place. I love the way he lights up when he sees me exercise and maybe once I get passed the phase of wanting to exercise alone, I will welcome both my boys to exercise with me.

I also want to be able to show my kids that anything is possible when you put everything into it; from eating the right way to being fit. It's a slow road, but I know in time we'll all get there.

Martine 04-12-2012 11:17 PM

My goal is to be around 130 pounds, but more importantly to be fit and healthy. I am starting to develop some health problems related to my weight and before it gets out of hand, I have decided to take better care of myself.

Goody3shoes 04-12-2012 11:53 PM

I want to be at around 125lbs and look awesome on my wedding day. Oh yeah, and be healthy and all that stuff. :P

nanook380 04-13-2012 04:04 AM

I want to lose 80-100 pounds eventually. I'm hoping with a diet/exercise change that it can become reality and not just a goal.

nicolae 04-13-2012 04:56 AM

1) to be a uk size 14 or lower. quite a lot of shops only go upto size 14
2) not to be the fatty amongst friends, id like to be equal
3) to feel comfy in my own skin. i dont really have a goal weight as such, im just going to keep going till i feel happy

melodymist 04-13-2012 05:47 AM

Be toned and fit!

gracewriter 04-13-2012 11:23 AM

To get to 125lbs so I can start juicing, exercising, and eating coconut oil every day. Oddly, right now I refuse to do any of this because calories are at a premium and exercising makes me stall.

Best wishes to everyone!

Luceia 04-15-2012 01:02 PM

I want my only soft and wobbly bits to be in my bra! ;)

swissy 04-15-2012 04:45 PM

I want to be fit and strong, I want to get a point where people stop seeing and treating me as the fat person.

Iyakamae 04-16-2012 05:03 PM

My goal is to be able to get on rides at theme parks without feeling as though I am too big. To be able to prove to myself and my kids that anything is possible. To be able to wear the type of clothes I really want to, not the kind of clothes that fit me. To be able to look in the mirror and be proud that I accomplished something by myself for myself.

I just want to be happy for the first time in 13 years with the way I look.

Brooke the awesome 04-17-2012 02:36 PM

My overall goal is to get back down to 160 lbs. I was a size 6-10 depending on the brand, and looked HOT at that weight.
right now i'm around 235.
my first goal is 219.9. That's right, just barely under 220 COUNTS! then my goals are in 10 pound increments.

If when I get down to 160 I want to lose some more, I will, if I feel great before I get to 160 then I'll stop there. I just want to feel comfortable again. I miss having energy and not feeling all jiggly when I so much as walk.

PastelLily 04-17-2012 03:11 PM

My goal is to get to 128 pounds, adopt healthy habits, and to have weight not be such a big issue in my life.

phaerei 04-17-2012 03:20 PM

I haven't been under 200 lbs since Highschool and that was around the time I was a size 12/14. I want to hit 200 and see where that takes me because I can't remember how small I'd be. Ultimately, if I'm not happy there, I'm looking at 160-170. So roughly I have 95-100 lbs to lose.

ladyponies23 04-18-2012 04:55 PM

I want to be fit and healthy, so that I can have the confidence to do the things that I love, like playing with my nieces and nephews or taking my dogs for a run. Right now I feel like I miss out on a lot because I'm so self-conscious about my weight.

JessicaB 04-19-2012 10:11 AM

I want to get back to the weight I was when I finished university, only be more fit and healthy. I am also hoping that I'll be able to set a good example for my daughter (2 yrs), so that she can learn healthy habits from me and not have to struggle with her weight when she gets older.

haylo 04-19-2012 10:24 AM

I just want to be able to put my clean jeans on and not have to squat to stretch them to fit...... ;-D

LARWife 04-19-2012 10:41 AM

Well weight wise I'm thinking between 140 and 150 I'm not sure anything less than that will be good for me but we'll see. I am so muscular my husband is jealous of my calves lol. But ultimately I want to live my life! I want to set a good example for my son and be the best mother I can for him. I want to go hiking and running with my husband and give him a run for his money.

586 04-19-2012 01:05 PM

I reached my goal weight, but I'd like to ultimately toned my muscles more - which will get me to my secondary goal weight - and lifeguard either this summer or next summer. :) Being able to swim for fun without panting heavily after my first lap is going to be awesome! :)

myfavisblue 04-23-2012 08:17 PM

I want to get out of the 200's! Been like this since graduating from college and that was like million years ago hahaha. I have been in a yoyo weight but now looks like I'm doing pretty good and motivated. I go to the gym religiously since 2005 but I never went down 200 because of my eating habit. Last june 2012 I really decided to change my eating habit/lifestyle. From June 2011-Jan 2012 I lost 12 lbs but got stuck at the same weight from Jan-March. (Starting weight was 222 and as of last March was 210).
Joined WW last March and now I'm down to 200!
So my goal is to reach (hopefully) by end of this year my ideal weight which is 135! :)

CocoD 04-23-2012 08:46 PM

My goal is to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 157! I started out at 219 and now weigh 196...it has taken 7 months to get here! I also would really love to tighten up my core and have no more jelly belly:( I am tired of being fat and just want to be a healthy weight...not skinny just fit! :carrot:

jpaclibar 04-25-2012 04:13 AM

Thank you guys for all your replies. Just an update, I am doing Hula Hoops right now and according to Health Source, I can lose 100 calories for 30 mins. I'm on my 2nd week now. So excited to give you another update soon.

I would love to share that goal but I am terrified of my skin, oh I've terrible skin so I've slowed it down, on the same path, its taken me years of trying to get the food thing straight as well but we've finally got it.

My goal is 150-160 (-1-1.5 lbs pw + allowance for potential plateaus but I don't have a support group :( ) by the end of the year with eating right and circuit training and gym three times a week, and 140 or less by next year wooot

Laifierr 04-25-2012 07:29 PM

My goal is to be skinny and fit and break free from psychologically induced binge eating.

mason91 04-26-2012 03:35 AM

My ultimate goal is to be 140lbs by my holiday in August! 14 weeks, 3 days and counting!!

Buttermilk Sky 04-26-2012 11:37 PM

1st goal: Get out of the 200's by my birthday, June 18th.
2nd goal: Reach 185 by September 1.
3rd goal: 170 by November 1.
4th goal: 155 by January 1 2013.
5th goal: 135 by June 1 2013.

I want to be able to tuck in my blouse and not be embarrassed.
I want to be able to climb stairs without getting out of breath.
I want to feel like I fit in when I'm in a crowd and not feel different.
I don't want to feel anymore pain in my feet, knees, and back.
I want to shop at regular stores instead of fat stores.
I want to eat in a restaurant and not feel that people are checking out what the 'big' woman is eating.
I want a man to open a door for me. That hasn't happened in a long time.
I want to feel healthy, proud of how I look, and in control.

Good luck to everyone!!!

Rocky Horror 04-26-2012 11:57 PM

My ultimate goal is to be as fit and healthy as my mom! She was a little over 300 pounds when she was diagnosed with diabetes in 2009 and since then she is down to 170. My goal weight is 140 pounds, so I've got about 90 to lose.

My other goals are to gain arm muscles and become toned around my belly. A recent goal is to start running so that in a year or two I can run the 10k race that my town holds every year.

Now thinking about it...hmm... with my slow loosing rate... maybe I wont reach that (135) goal by the end of the yr. :)
Maybe 150 lbs by the end of the yr... :D

matty90 04-29-2012 01:50 PM
