I used to buy clothes for tall people in Old navy which already vanity sizes even though I'm short just to get into a "smaller size" UGH the desperation LMAO.

I JUST tried on denim shorts that I had purchased from them a few years back; label reads 10... It literally was probably size 6 :( I am just about out of my 10's and moving down to 8's. Those shorts just made me  LOL!

Usually I have to get a larger size on Old Navy and Gap jeans/pants. It could be because the biggest part of my body is my belly, and I absolutely refuse to have a muffin top :D What I noticed though; I have Gap jeans in size 2, 4, 6 ,8, 10 and 12. Smaller sizes I felt more comfortable one size up. But once I hit size 12 in most brands, their jeans were HUGE on me in that size. I did not need to go up to 14's. Maybe they were just cut different. :dunno:

It actually would be interesting to see what size people take from different stores.

ETA: It is my understanding that Old Navy is still owned by Gap. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah, Gap owns Old Navy :).

I think they both vanity size pretty badly and I've run into the wrong tags sewn into things several times... so annoying.

I love old navy, just wish I didn't have to drive 30 min outta my way to go to a mall to get the clothing, lol

If I'm at school, I just gotta drive about 10 minutes up the road, but if I'm at home, I know exactly how you feel! I wish they'd put one closer to me, as well.

YES! ON is always an ego boost to me. I'm a size 10 and M shirt everywhere else but I can fit into size 8 pants and size S and sometimes M shirts at ON. I love vanity sizing sometimes :P

Yes, I wear size 8 to 10 T from Walmart. But, require size 12 at sears. And, size 10 at Macy's. So, I do not know what is my real size.
