Not-so-mini goals!

At 154.2, I've hit some major milestones--I've now lost as much weight as my three children combined weigh, and I now have a healthy BMI! I'm awfully proud of what I've achieved, and so grateful for the support of 3FC!

Oh, and I have less than 20 pounds to get to goal! :whoo:

Bravo!!!!

Congrats!!! I'm just starting on this lifestyle change and hope to be as committed as you have been.

Through your journey was there something that was challenging to overcome?

Oh yeah. A hardcore food addiction that was based on emotional eating, vast amounts of stress that made eating seem like the only way to escape, an aversion to exercise (in the beginning), a surprise pregnancy in the middle of my weight loss (he's now 10 1/2 months old :) ), and quitting smoking shortly before I found out I was pregnant--all of these things were challenging. We all have our stuff, you know? You just have to have focus, drive, and determination. Weight loss isn't easy, but it's so worth it for the improved quality of life! I just pushed myself a little further each day, and LOVED MYSELF enough to make it happen. That's key--if you don't care about yourself, you have to work on that before you can make any major changes. Best wishes on your weight loss! :)

Calorie counting! I seriously can't sing the praises of calorie counting enough. I exercised as well, as much as possible, but even on the weeks I couldn't get as much exercise in, I stuck to my calorie limit, and the weight continued to come off. Everyone is different, but this is what worked for me!

Rainydays you are amazing. Hearing testimonies like yours are what keeps people like me, plugging away.

I calorie count too. And I am vigilant about it. You are right. I've tried it before, with limited success. This time around, I want it. I feel I DESERVE it this time, and THIS TIME, so far I am finding success with it too. Thank you for sharing your not so mini goal. Congrats, and looking forward to your goal post in the near future!

Exactly! For a long time I didn't care enough to make the changes I needed to make. When my situation got bad enough to really threaten my health and welfare, a switch went off and I realized that I deserve to be happy. The actual changes have not been completed yet, but I'm making positive changes every day and the seemingly little bits add up.

Thanks for your inspiration !
