I started...

I had it in my mind when I went to bed that I would get up and at least do a mile walk with Leslie or some other instructor. I lay in bed about to blow it off as I've done for about a month now. But there was a workout informational on and one of the participants said something like "I will be 50 and I was not going to be 50 and fat". I'll be 43 next week. I will still be 43, but will I be 43 and continue to be unhealthy? That one line hit me like a brick. I got up and did a 30 minute workout using turbo jam. I started with turbo fire, yeah much to ambitious. After the warm up I decided this was not the workout to start with. I then continued with turbo jam 20 minute workout. I am actually proud that I pushed myself and finally got started.

Off to get ready for work. Have a great day!

Great job! I know how it is to get motivated enough to do a work out video so kudos to you!! Keep it up and it will be a habit that you will look forward to doing every morning. :)

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I even made a smoothie to consume as I got dressed. Normally its about 2-3 hours after I wake before I eat breakfast. I've read that this is a no-no.

Congrats! I know from experience that figuring out that trigger to get you motivated is exteremely hard and no one can predict what it is. Glad that you found yours. Good Luck.

Great job! Just pick workouts that you can do and focus on making permanent lifestyle changes rather than focusing on speed. If you make changes gradually that you can stick with, the weight will come off and stay off. =)
