Down 22.4lbs

I do not know why I am so excited about this, but I am. I'm closer to the 150s than the 170s and I'm so thrilled!!!!

Congrats! Your stats are identical to mine! (except I cant lose 2 lb's never mind 20!)

If you don't mind sharing, what calories levels were you eating, exercise frequency and any cheat days?! Also, how long did it take?

I do not track my calorie intake. What I have done is eat no fast food (easy, since I'm a vegetarian) I have severely cut back on refined sugar and white carbs. I eat a lot of whole grain. I have increased my veg intake and I do not believe in low fat - if it is meant to have fat in it, I eat it that way - just less of it. I do not use skim milk/margarine et al, nor do I do flavoured low fat yogurt. I have plain full-fat yogurt and if I want to, I throw some blueberries or other fruit in it.

I eat to hunger but I try to control my portions. It has taken me since April, though I started cutting back on refined sugar more recently - which caused my weight loss to really take off in a big way.

eta: my husband has also dropped several pounds by eliminating simple carbs/refined (table) sugar etc. He was already a healthy weight but unhappy with his body. Now he's feeling better and his body is feeling better, too.

I started cutting back on junk/sugar as I was fearful my son who is now 11 months would learn to eat bad foods from me.

I get exercise when I can, but with an 11 month old it is not easy. I ride a bicycle when possible and when the weather is good. I walk a lot.

I do occasional allow myself to have a treat, I'm down to maybe once per week.

I believe my slow weight loss will mean I will have an easier time keeping it off..

Also, I lost 50lbs with Weight Watchers in the past. I HIGHLY recommend Weight Watchers. It is entirely possible I'm quasi using WW in my head to lose weight on my own, I just don't keep track. I pay attention to hunger and when I feel satisfied (I stop eating then.)
