You are doing an awesome job! Just in two months you have made a big change. I have only been on it for 3wks so you really inspire me! Btw we are around the same height and started around to same weight so I hope I can accomplish what you did in 2 months.

What did you do?

sandcar150 09-27-2011 11:33 AM

Thank you all! You made my day.

Caramel, so far I've been doing Leslie Sansone's 3-mile walking DVDs 5 times a week, followed by about 6-7 minutes of waist and ab work. For my diet I eat a reatively low-carb diet, but still have a couple pieces of fruit a day and switched from 2 slices of wheat bread a day to 2 slices of spelt bread a day 5 days a week. On the weekends I only eat lean protein, non-starchy veggies and some healthy fats.

After giving up wheat, my tummy really felt less bloated. I've been doing some reading on wheat and there have not been good things said about how it is processed nowadays compared to in the old days. Basically, these books and magazine articles said wheat products can lead to stomach bloating, intestinal distress and (their words) cancer. Whether all that is true or not, I just know my tummy has flattened substantially and I felt better once I gave up wheat products.

Best of luck to you in reaching your goal!

sandcar150 09-27-2011 07:14 PM

Thank you!

MsTiffney, I actually just lost 20 of those pounds in the 2 months since starting my blog. I lost 11 1/2 pounds the first month and 8 1/2 in the second. The 235 is my highest weight ever, but I wish it was 30 pounds in 3 months. ☺
