30lbs down..should I wear bikini? (pics included)
Hey all!
Happy to report that I am officailly 30 pounds down! I have about 15 pounds to go before I am at goal! So here are some more progress pics.. This last little bit is going to be hard! I just know it! Next HONEST question.. I know a lot of you have had the same "body issues".. its hard to see yourself thinner even when you KNOW the weight is gone.. I still have a good 15 pounds to go, and I am being fairly patient with it.. but one of my goals was to wear a bikini (confidently) this summer. We are going to the water park and stuff for the 4th and I really REALLY want to wear this bikini. I think I look okay when I look at myself, and my husband thinks I look great.. but I dont know..I wonder if people will think I have no business wearing a bikini such as this one.. I also have some pretty bad streatch marks on my tummy.. So.. honest opinion! I just dont want to make a fool of myself. I am proud of my results and it has taken me a LONG time to get this weight off (Comparatively to most people working as hard as I did to lose weight.. for me a year). I would hate to think I look okay, when I dont. And we all know DH wouldnt tell me I shouldnt.. Thanks for your opinions. :?: |

Congrats on your great progress so far, and OF COURSE you should wear the bikini! You look great. :)

It's really about how confident you are wearing it; if you're just going to psych yourself out by wondering the whole time if people are looking at your or judging you in their head then I say no way because you won't have as good a time. You've done amazing work so far. I have average to slightly below average self confidence so I personally wouldn't but if you feel like you'll be able to work it and have a great time then go for it.

So, I'm an old fuddy-duddy with sons not much younger than you, so take my advice with that in mind.
The top looks like a perfect fit, but I would suggest a little bit more on the bottom, maybe some snug little boy cut briefs that match the top? They would be more flattering to your lovely figure and I suspect with a tiny bit more coverage you would be totally comfortable and wouldn't waste a minute worrying about how it looks. |

Snaplet- Looking at the pic here I totally see what you are saying, my dad made the same comment.. But it isnt really that tinsy winsy! It is smaller than what I would normally wear, but this pic makes the bottom look super tiny... With that being said, I dont look good in the "boy short" bottoms. My bum is still too big, so if they fit everywhere, they dont fit well in the bum, if the fit well in the bum,they look hidious in the front! I appreciate your opinions and suggestions! But I got on the scale this morning and have finally gotten out of the 160s!! I HAVE to celebrate that! Thanks again everyone!! |
I wish I had the womanly curves you've got going on, lol. I hope you wore it. You look a lot younger than me and I wear one after two kids and no curves (at age 39). The photos are very flattering that you took. P.S. Listen to your hubby. :)
