Okay so I know I just posted like mini-goal pics a few weeks ago but the most awesomest thing happened tonight. Lots of teenagers shop at places like Aeropostale and American Eagle, etc, but I've never been able to fit into those stores. Well tonight I decided I would buy a t-shirt that was on sale and if it didn't fit me now it would fit eventually and it would just be incentive. Well I waited until I got home and it fit!

...and I just want to tell you that *my* teenaged daughters just returned from a shopping trip. They also went to Aeropostale and bought a shirt on sale.

And Rachel said: "I don't know why they make Aero clothes so small! I bought a medium and look how tight this thing is."

And Rachel? Is 5' 8" and weighs *maybe* 120 pounds after breakfast and a big rainstorm. So getting into anything Aero is a major accomplishment.

Congratulations!! You look great, and I know how big of an achievement this is.

I've SO often regretted not getting fit when I was younger. I'm only 32, I know, but I wish I hadn't been so overweight in high school and college. Partly for the clothes factor, but more so for the self-confidence that comes from knowing I've achieved something. When I see how excited you are and how far you've come, I'm honestly a litte jealous. :)

Oh, one more thing - this is the second post from you (I think) that has apologized for your arms. Can I just say, your arms don't look nearly as bad as you think they do? For real. And even if there's some loose skin, maybe think of that as a sign of how far you've come.

Very cute! I also am so glad you are tackling this in your teens. I'm heading into my late 20s, just turned 26, and always wish I'd have lost weight sooner (not that its ever to late). You're doing great! You'll be a regular in those shops in no time.

JenMusic-Aw thanks but I should be jealous of you! And thank you for making me less arm-consious but in my eyes they're always going to be pretty awful. It's a mix of like...loose fat and sagging skin that just...turns me off. I'm not sure how to explain it but I guess I never really have looked at it your way, I just wish other people would too (people at school, you know the mean people).

That's so great and you look amazing and the shrit looks really good on you! I think we all know the despair of going into a shop and not being able to fit into a single thing and the joy of going in and finding somethign that fits. It doesnt matter what it is, it just has to fit because at that point you feel like you are still part of society!!

I once went to this shop to buy a skirt and NOTHING would fit! NOTHING. I then saw this size 10 skirt in the sales rack which oddly had really wide waist. I thought to myself, SURELY this would fit and sure enough it did. I was elated!! From a size 16/18 I had fit into a size 10 skirt. Then the pregnant b**ch sales assistant came up to me, saw me admiring myself in the mirror and goes "you know... that shold be sitting on your hips, not your waist!". So humiliating! I hope her baby looks like a monkey!

I hate salespeople like that. My friend actually said that the shirt wouldn't fit (not the one I was at the mall with but another one) but I guess I proved her wrong, and you showed that saleslady. I have some pants that are suppose to be low riders but they're Urkel-y because I'm short. I bet skirt looked great =].

i am always the same way. shop at forever 21, the sizes run a little big, but in the wrong rack they run a little small. its fun to have goal clothes become clothes you wear every day.

i got a white shirt from forever 21 that was snug but now its fits like its supposed to be that way :]

That's awesome...way to go!!! You look great...and I agree, your arms are not bad AT ALL!!! And someone else brought it up, but places like Abercrombie and Aeropostole have sizes that run super small. One year we took my niece clothes shopping and she tried on a zip-up shirt at Abercrombie & Fitch. She was a size 00 at the time and could BARELY get a medium shirt to zip on her. She looked at me and said "I feel fat." *shakes head* My nephew said "that's what's wrong w/ girls...THIS is why they have eating disorders."

Yay! This is my goal too! And girl, you look amazing. And more confidant! Get it!

Great job!! I would love to try on some AE and A&F clothes...definitely will be coming up shortly! I'm actually 24, and was never able to fit into those typical teen clothes. When I hit goal, or close to it, I'm buying some clothes from both places just to say I can :)
