  • I finally got the courage to take some comparison shots as I am now at the half way point in my weight loss. I'm glad I did, I've been wanting to do a mini goal post for awhile but I've been too nervous.

Sometimes I wonder if there was a difference at all, and now seeing these I feel so great about myself! I notice it most in my stomach and that's nice, as well as my legs are getting sexy and toned!

And I know my face looks really sad in one of the before photos, I think it was cus of how long my fiance takes when he takes a photo and I was like 'come on!' And I just realize now I put the skinny pictures before the heavier ones, sorry guys!

I started my weight loss journey Nov of last year, lost 16 pounds over two months and just stopped doing it around Christmas. I decided to quit smoking and didn't start thinking about starting again until April. In April I started eating right, and in May I felt well enough to exercise again. I went up to 185 during my haitus which luckily was still 9 pounds under what I started. I'm now at 167 and it feels amazing I didn't think I could get here. I eat a gluten free diet with as many fresh foods as possible, and I work out whenever I get the chance (but sometimes miss a week at a time :S )

  • Nice work and congratulations! You look great!

    Cheers,

    J
  • Yay! My first comment Thanks!

No one I know ever comments on it, and I think that's because it's a gradual change and they see me often. I'm glad I took these photos because I can actually see the difference, even if I don't always feel it.
  • You look wonderful! Congratulations. (: Good luck going all the way to your goal!
  • You look fab! Congrats
  • You look fantastic, congrats!
  • Not just your belly -- just look at your thighs and your upper arms. (I'm fixated on these particular parts of women lately, as those are two of my trouble spots -- the latter in particular.) You are really rocking that pair of shorts.

This is my first year of wearing shorts outside my own home with confidence. You, on the other hand, need have no worries about that particular issue. Have you always worn shorts with confidence, or have you really broken them out this summer now to celebrate your weight loss? Because if you haven't, you should. You've definitely got the leg length & proportion for them.
  • Thanks saef My arms around the same size, but I have been doing weight training to tone them up more. As for my legs, I love my legs lately! They look so toned compared to before, my calves do have that square muscle thing when I put my leg up on something and I have never seen them do that before!

That pair of shorts I haven't worn out, I've been still a little shy. We're going on a road trip to see my fiance's family and I plan on wearing them then to see what they say :3 I haven't seen them in about 16-20 pounds.

I'm going to chalk it up to the fact I started powerwalking on the treadmill, and am now running and intervals and I love the leg press at the gym. I love doing 30 reps at 100 lbs at least once, maybe twice.
  • Wow! You look amazing! Congratulations!
