For the first time EVER....

I am no longer wearing a size 18 pant!!! :carrot: As of this weekend I'm a size 16, and have reached my first mini goal! I've never (that I can remember) been smaller than an 18, but my mom made mention that I was a size 14 in 6th grade!! 6th GRADE OMFG are you kidding me!? So, I've literally been fat my whole life! This was a momentous occasion for me. Some of the jeans I tried on were a little too tight and gave me either a camel toe or a muffin top, but they still fit!! One mini goal down several more to go!!!

Yelie 01-19-2010 03:05 PM

CONGRATS!!! Theres nothing better than fitting into smaller pants :D

jewels05 01-19-2010 04:22 PM

Congratulations!!!! That's fabulous!!!! :carrot:

Congratulations!

I can't wait til I can wear a 16. I wear 18 now but that is sure better than the 24's that were getting too tight.

Congratulations! You're doing great! What a great feeling, going down a size....can't wait until I achieve that goal! (Daydreaming about it now...)

lemondrplvr 01-19-2010 04:58 PM

Thank you all!! I'm totally excited. I've been going around the office telling everyone!! lol I feel like I'm glowing! Silly to some, but it means the WORLD to me!!

Lori & Granny - You will get there!!! Keep it up and reach for the stars!!

Awesome! I know how great it feels to be 16, and how much better it will get at 14 and lower!

Think of being able to go to the mall and just buy a pair of jeans right off the shelf, that's my fantasy! lol.

I'm with you there! There are so many stores I want to buy clothes from but they don't carry Plus sizes! I'll also be excited not to HAVE to shop at Torrid and Lane Bryant!

Janis427 01-19-2010 06:34 PM

That is great! I am right where you are. But some brands are still 18, but most are 16. My NYDJ;s are getting a little big for me, but not going to buy another pair of $100.00 jeans till I lose all the weight.

lemondrplvr 01-19-2010 06:41 PM

Janis, that's exactly where my mind is. I'm going to overcome my Thrift Store fear to buy cheap clothes for that size! It's exciting though!!

Torrid has some gorgeous clothes, but having the option of NOT going there = freedom, imho. Besides, I always thought Lane Bryant had old lady looking clothes.

They do. But they have a lot more business attire which is what I need for my job. Also I like their bra selection better!

Agreed on the LB nana clothing; I reckon it looks like cougar clothing now. My nana wouldn't be caught dead in some of those clothes, but some of my older 30-something friends love them. Haven't looked at Torrid in years... headed over there now.

It's always a good feeling when you can fit into something smaller!!

Congratulations on your loss lemondrplvr! As someone else said, reach for the stars and keep up the awesome work!
