Default First (Almost) 10 lbs Lost!

I'm so happy, I finally bought a scale after two and a half weeks of calorie counting and four weeks of 3x a week hatha yoga (i know people say it does not help with weight loss but I work up a sweat regardless) and I lost 8 lbs!

I could tell I was losing some weight because my beer and burrito belly were starting to feel lighter and shirts were fitting better but I kinda thought I was just kidding myself.

Nope, I have lost some weight! I'm thrilled because for the last five years, I had convinced myself it was physically impossible for me to lose weight, that I was just going to be fat forever. But now I know.. I can do it. I just have to keep at it and I will be strong and have the body I want.

Also posting this for those of you starting out who think you can not do it. If I, a total and complete glutton who LOVES to eat can lose just a teeny bit of weight... so can you.

Congratulations! I know how you feel, I have a long way to go and I just lost my first 8 pounds but I feel so, so much lighter already. It's a great feeling.
