No longer overweight!

For the first time since my early teen years I no longer am overweight. I weighed in today at 162.5 which puts me at a BMI of less than 25 for the first time in forever. I feel so good about myself right now. My whole attitude is changing. I use to always hate hate hate my legs. They were always huge and not just my thighs but my calves are huge too. I love my legs now, not because they are tiny and sexy but because they are powerful strong athletic legs. My legs can hike me over any mountain all day and still be up to doing the same thing the next day without a hint of any pain or stiffness from the day before. They may not be the epitome of beauty but **** they are darn good strong legs and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I never would of guessed I would feel this way 90 pounds ago, **** even 50 pounds ago.

Wow, congratulations on the weight loss. But congratulations even more on having shifted your attitude towards your wonderful, strong, athletic legs. So often we hate parts of our bodies when really, if we just stop to think about it, are pretty darn cool. Way to go!

Well done!

Congratulations on your success - both the weight loss and the new attitude! Your determination and well-deserved pride in your accomplishment is inspiring!

Thanks so much for sharing your transformation - it gives hope to those of us still in the first "leg" (sorry I couldn't help it!:joker:) of our journey.

As ZZ TOP so aptly put it: SHE'S GOT LEGS AND SHE KNOWS HOW TO USE THEM! YOU GO GIRL!

:bravo:

Congratulations! I needed your inspiration today. I am only a few pounds away from no longer being overweight. I want it so badly, but my motivation has stalled. Thanks for the nudge!

koolkiwi,

This indeed is something to celebrate. I am very happy for you. I know you must look and feel amazing. GOOD FOR YOU! What a gift to give yourself--fitness, longevity, power, and the list goes on.

Like you, I felt the same about my legs. But yes, they ARE powerful and I can feel all the muscles in them even from a sitting position. They get stronger every day too.

ETA: I must tell you--you are on the verge of something amazing. Your sizes are about to start dropping like water! In my larger sizes it took FOREVER to get "out" of a size. Once you drop below a ten, they go down faster and faster! It WILL amaze you!
