super-excited (but too embarrassed to share!)

i can jog for two straight minutes :-)

ok, i know that doesn't sound like much. but i've been smoking on & off (mostly on) since i was 12 (15 years), and have never really been active. one of my friends used to make fun of me for how i was mostly walking at the gym, rather than running. i've been smoke-free for 2 months, and have reached the 2-minute jogging mark for the first time... ever!

Yay! That is great! Keep it up :D

That's huge! You should be so proud of yourself. And congrats on quitting smoking. What a wonderfully major step to a healthier lifestyle. Great job! xoxo

great x 2! no smoking and two minute jog!

i started out jogging by only going two minutes at a time and slowly slowly increased the time. i got up to 30 minutes!

Shannon in ATL 07-15-2009 02:54 PM

Hey, that is great! When I first went out I think I made 30 seconds before I thought I was going to do, and I've never smoked! :)

Jennelle 07-15-2009 02:59 PM

Don't be embarrassed - that's a fabulous accomplishment! I'm quite sure that I could NOT jog for two minutes straight!

happeningf 07-15-2009 03:11 PM

I couldn't jog for 30 seconds when I started, and I've never smoked in my life! great job!

misspiggy408 07-15-2009 03:15 PM

That's awesome! And i think it's even MORE awesome that you kicked the smoking habit :D

What a great accomplishment! And when you're huffing and puffing - it's nice, clean, fresh air. Congrats!!!

2 months smoke free!?!?! That is huge! I know several people who wish they could accomplish that. Hang onto that wagon... I'm proud of you.

Way to go! If we were always happy & satisfied with small goals, losing weight wouldn't be so hard. You're on the right track!
