It's too early yet to call my mom, and DH is still asleep. I HAVE TO SHARE!!!!

The last few months have been rough on me, I got weighed at the doctor and "realized" how big I was. My pay at work got cut in 1/2 (at least I didn't get laid off, right), and my mom - who is my best friend and most vocal advocate - has been having a hard time with my little brothers, one of which has asperger's and the other is bipolar. So I've been spending the vast majority of my free time with them or on the phone with her trying to help her deal (I live an hour away from her).

So there's not been a whole lot of happy lately. However, this week ...


I put on a skirt on Tuesday that always makes me feel good about myself. I was running late, so ran out the door and drove to work. When I got to work, my skirt fell down in the parking lot. Normally you'd think this would be a humiliating experience, but I was just so excited it didn't fit!

On Wednesday my work announced they were giving us $500 bonuses if we met certain quotas, to try and offset the huge loss in income over the last 5 months. I met the quota!

On Thursday, I met my other quotas at work, which means for the first time in months, I'm getting a decent bonus check next month.

On Friday, I treated myself to a new tattoo that I've wanted for years but haven't been able to justify getting.

And today .... I weighed in ....


AND LOST 3 POUNDS !!!!!!!!!!!



It feels good to be me this week, and I needed to get that all out! :carrot::carrot:

It's a Chi-Ro with an Alpha symbol to the left, an Omega to the right, surrounded by a circle. The Chi-Ro is the symbol in my avatar. Every one of my tattoos tells a story about me, and this one seemed very appropriate for how the last few years have gone. I adopted it as a constant reminder that I can do anything.

Congratulations on coming through all that dirty stuff and having such great news! And on the hot tatt!
