Talking Pics: Me so far, 50 pounds lighter!

Hey everyone!

Today I had the surprise of a lifetime. After a friend's urgings, I tried on these pants that I liked that were on sale - but only came in size 5 (in the juniors section, mind you). "They wont fiiit," I was saying, "Come on, I'll just be disappointed." But she kept nagging me to try them, so I did. And guess what...

They slid right up.

I stood there with my mouth open for who knows how long. My friend was in there with me and just kept laughing and saying "I told you so, I told you so!"

So here I am, in complete disbelief, wearing my size 5 pants and giving you an update on my weight loss.

This picture was taken when I was around 120. Obviously the current me is on the left, and the old me is on the right.

The one on the right was taken when my family took a trip to the Queen Mary. It was actually the photo that spurred me to lose weight in the first place...I had no idea that I had gotten so large! I was 168 pounds, which can look quite heavy on a person of 5'2".

So yeah, Here I am now! I'm almost at goal!

I'll try not to celebrate too openly about the size 5 pants. I already freaked out my dad, I think, who doesn't really care much about stuff like this - being a guy and all. He was like "Ahhh. Huh."

Woooo!!

OMG, you look STUNNING. I seriously didn't believe losing 50 pounds could make such a huge difference, but it has for you - although I have to admit, even in your "before" picture you're dressed much better than I usually am. :P

Congrats on the amazing weight loss, and on your size 5 pants, and on giving the rest of us a boost by proving it CAN be done.

You look smashing! You are so pretty and the best part is you can see the little proud glint in your eye in your now photo. I have no doubt you can make it to your goal, but I think you look great.

Wow, thankyou so much for your kind words, guys! Yes, it's only (only??) been 50 pounds...maybe it made such an extreme difference because I'm on the shorter side.

It's taken me since the end of June/beginning of July to lose all 50, so 50 can feel like soooo much, hahaha. Right now I'm doing the 30 day shred to get me started with toning up.

Oh just awesome! Cute as a button before but amazing and FABULOUS now! I don't know where you are going to find that last 8 pounds to lose - but to you for sticking it out. What a great inspiration!

Starfish: I just cut my calories to around 1300 a day, exercised, and drank more water. I allowed a cheat day every Sunday, since that's when my family usually goes out for lunch together.

Keep it up, you are sooo close to your goal!

It is a GREAT feeling to be able to fit into those little sizes left on the sale racks! Here's to many, many more of those fun purchases!
