Height: 5' 6"

Talking first mini-goal... CHECK!

SW: 237 lb
HW: 239 lb
CW: 227 lb
GW: 130 lb

Goal #1: First 10 lb lost! Hit 227 lb DONE!
Goal #2: 210 lb, fit comfortably into size 16s
Goal #3: 195 lb, fit mostly comfortably into size 14s
Goal #4: 180 lb, no longer obese!
Goal #4: 165 lb, fit comfortably into a size 12
Goal #5: 150 lb, no longer overweight / within healthy range
Goal #6: 135 lb, back to my lowest adult weight
Goal #7: 130 lb, fit comfortably into a size 6/8

I am looking forward to nicer weather and dryer days. I got an extra boost of motivation last night after watching You: On a Diet on the discovery channel and seeing 4 different people in NYC drastically reduce their waist size and risk for cardiac disease in only 9 weeks. If I planned ahead and walked to work (oh, the dread! oh the hills!) and back, that would be 6+ miles in the commute alone. the 10,000 steps a day concept ends up being roughly 5 miles, so that could be enough right there. Then p90x strength training on top of the walking.... it's a solid plan! I will look into the waist sizes and try and incorporate those into my mini-goals as well.

I feel more and more confident that I can get back to a healthy weight and love my body again. who knew a 10% overall loss (ok, so more, because I went and gained some) could be such a boost?

I tried on and wore my paige premium jeans out to dinner on Sat. night. They were super tight (as in, squeezing the backs of my thighs tight) when I bought them, and then on Saturday I pulled them on with no problem. She is the only designer I like (e.g., Paige Premium, Seven for all Mankind, Citizens, etc.) who makes jeans in sizes bigger than 12, so I was happy to zip them up comfortably. They are 16s, too, so maybe my next goal should be to fit comfortably in size 14 dress slacks instead of 16s. I have plenty of those lying around, too.

WOO HOO!
