This is the longest I have ever stuck to a diet!!!
 
This is a tiny victory really but I still feel really proud! I have stuck to my diet and exercise regime without a single slip up for the past 28 days - 4 whole weeks!!!! Yay!!! I have never ever been able to do this before, I dont think I have ever even lasted a whole week without having a huge blowout. I threw out my scales ages ago as I get obsessed with weighing myself after I eat every meal and it gets me so down I give up. I weighed myself in the chemist on the 5th Jan and then on friday and I have lost 20 pounds and my bmi has gone down 3 points. I know it is just the tiniest tip of the iceberg but I feel good about it. I feel like I have conquered something.
I tend to be very much all or nothing and this has always been my downfall as I end up straving myself for a few days then eating more than ever. I have been quite hard myself this time, making sure I always eat under 1000 calories and feeling (stupidly) proud when I eat less than 300 calories a day but this is still the healthiest approach I have ever taken. I have done an exercise dvd every day (had to force myself sometines) except for one day when I had to work until 11pm. I know it is just a small start but YAY!! Hope and pray I can keep going. Sorry for the long rambling post!! :carrot:

you rock girlfriend!! That's not a tiny accomplishment because a whole month is a lifestyle already, if you can do it one month you can do it all the months. YOU WIN!

Oh and my second big achievement is I have just worked out how to add a ticker! Computers scare me so this makes me proud too! :)

Okay I was so feeling great for you until I read under 1000 calories a day? Your not doing yourself any favors there. I hope you are under a strict doctors care and not doing that low of calories on your own. That is seriously low especially for your starting weight. Im not trying to rain on your parade b/c I think its fantastic that you have made it this long. BUT thats not healthy and being healthy should be a great motivator for losing weight not just to look good.
I hope now that you have proved to yourself that you can do it that you will consider upping your cals. Your loss will be slower buT i have a feeling it will last longer than this dangerous diet your on now.

I am super proud of you for losing the weight- But i am REALLY concerned about how little calories you are eating a day- you will put into starvation mode only eating 1000 cals and as little as 300!!!! wow that's not good chica! I hope that was a typo... you may be losign a lot of initial weight right now. but soon your body will start holding to the few calories you are giving it and storing ti as fat! then you will have the reverse happen of what your trying to work for... You at BARE minimum should be eating 1200 a day but I'd shoot for 1400-1500 it's much healthier!

I know my cal intake has been quite low but believe me this is buy far the healthiest approach I have ever managed - I know I still have a long way to go before I reach a system that I can sustain and that works for me but I am still proud as this really is a postive step for me. Liquid replacement diets, surgery options and a lot of doctor recommended options all mean people eat a lot less than me but my thinking is that if I can eat good healthy home cooked food and lots of fruit and veg, lean protein etc for the same calories that has to be better for me. I will work this out in my own time but for now I feel good and the small boost of weight loss will help spur me on to find a calorie intake / exercise regime that is right for me. Thanks for caring though, it's nice to know people are looking out for you!

I understand- you should be proud of yourself you have picked a plan and stuck to it! thats a great thing and you should be proud! however... the people who are on liquid diets and prepping for weight loss surgery are typically VERY MORBIDLY OBESE like 400-500 lbs and under a doctors care 24/7 while consuming such low cals.. it's really not safe.. soon your body will start storing fat and you wont be able to lose anymore.. and that will be discouraging... Please consider at least eating 1200 a day...it just truly isn't healthy for you to eat less then that... and some times when you increase your cals you loose faster.. that's what happened to me I was only eating 1300-1400 and hardly losing, I up'd it too 1500-1700 and now it's falling off... my body was telling me " I need more" just as yours will..

I wish you all the luck! your doing great, and your making good steps! just make sure you do this the healthy way ... that way it will stay off for good and you only will have to do this once! :D

LookingForMeAgain and mariamherrera I agree with you. You are doing a really great job shashasha but you should not eat that low because you could damage your body. Please be careful

A Little Win That Meant a Lot
 
My friend had bariatric surgery a few months ago and just hit a mini-goal—she walked 5 miles on her cruise without knee pain for the first time in years! 🎉 Definitely a Non-Scale Victory worth celebrating. Exactly, every little win is a step forward, and honestly those moments often matter even more than the number on the scale. Being able to move without pain, enjoy something like a long walk, and feel that boost in confidence… that’s real, life-changing progress. Your friend should be so proud of herself, and it’s really lovely that you’re celebrating those wins with her too 💛
