Okay, so I've done the impossible, I've broken through that barrier I came up against so many times in the past: 300.

As of this morning, I weighed 294.8. This is significant for a couple of reasons.

1) I don't weigh 300 lbs anymore. I can actually say "I don't weigh 300 lbs" with a straight face.

2) It's my lowest weight in at least 5 years. Probably closer to 10.

3) I have officially lost 100 lbs since my highest known weight. I know that I weighed more than 395 at one point, but without a scale that could weigh me, there was no way to prove it.

4) This number is proof that I can beat emotional eating. I've become more aware of it, especially when I was hovering right around 300, of all the things my "body" (i.e., my head) craved, and I could abstain.

5) It puts me over the 40 lb mark for this year.

This place is so incredibly wonderful. I've found inspiration when I couldn't create any for myself, and I'm so very, very grateful for that.

I just thought I'd bump this: As of today, I've lost 50 lbs this year. Down to 285.4, a number I haven't seen in soooo very long.

My next goal is 270, which will put me at my second 10%. Looking forward to bumping this again soonish.
