I've lost a young girl!
 

I reached a new milestone of 60 pounds today! According to the pediatrician's growth chart, that's the equivalent weight of an average 8-1/2 year old girl. I couldn't imagine carrying a child around on my back all day - yet a year ago, that's exactly what I was doing. I am so pumped! :carrot:

Yes, comparing weight loss, or the amount of weight we still have to lose, to normal stuff really helps. I remember working in the warehouse and having to carry around 30 to 35lb boxes. Man were those things heavy. Then I thought you know I have almost 2 of those boxes I am dragging around on my body. No wonder I don't have any energy.

Do ya'll think the reason we burn more calories doing something if we are heavier is because we're lugging around all that weight to begin with? ;)

You make a real good point there. Maybe why it is easier to lose weight when you weight more.

Yeah, when I hit the 40 mark, I grilled the whole k-1 grade to find a kid who weighed 40 and I said, "I've lost a little kid!"

congrats Bethel!!! That is interesting when we realize we have lost a person..whether it be a little person or a big person!! I've lost a little more than my 5 year old...not quite my 8 year old. Seems weird that i've lost more weight than my little girl weighs. I imagine if i want to lose 20 more pounds, i must have 2 ten pound bags of potatoes left in my body to lose, huh?? hahahaha.

Anyways...congrats on the loss!!!

Sometimes I wish I could lose my 17 year old lolol.

Uh, I've lost a 3 year old :lol: I can't wait until I lose a 6-7 year old, though! That will be exciting!

It's funny when you think of weight loss in those kinds of terms, isn't it? You are doing really great!!!! Congratulations on losing so much weight so far!
