I Finally Made It
 

I finally achieved my ultimate mini goal - to make it below 200! Today I weighed in at 199! I had to check the scale a couple of times before I believed it, I must have stepped on and off that scale 3 or 4 times resetting it at 0 each time just to be 100% positive and sure enough, I AM below 200!

For the record, I haven't weighed below 200 lbs. in 9 years, yes almost a decade. It's a little depressing to think of it that way and realize that I've been over 200 lbs. for so damn long but that's okay, the point is I'm losing weight and getting healthier now! I feel like I've passed a huge milestone, and it's awesome and it makes me want to eat a healthy breakfast and go work out this morning! :D

I noticed that you mentiond that it was a little depressing to think about how long it's been since you've been under 200 but I think that it only shows how high a hurtle you had to jump to get to where you are right now.

I was just reading some of my old Blog posts and back at the beginning of May I set a goal to be below 200 lbs. when I go visit some friends and family the week of July 4th, so that's just another way of looking at the same goal. It's kind of like I met two mini goals.

* I just read your journal and I wanted to add that I am proud of you for making the decision to got back east and continue in school! It will be nice for your mom to have you around. It takes guts to make the choices you have. Even if you have to pay rent for awhile on an apartment you are not living in, it's worth it. Start packing!! School starts in 2 1/2 months :hug:
