Great job meeting your first goal! Try hefting 18 pounds and to appreciate how much you really lost!

Wow! Three 40 lb bags! That's fantastic!

I picked up litter for my furry babies last night and I thought of this thread. I get 25 lbs at a time. I've lost 2 bags worth.

We all have those moments when our accomplishments get overshadowed in our minds by what we still have left to do. It's good to remind ourselves that what we've done doesn't count any less because we have more to do.

You guys are hilarious. I might have to change my ticker unit to "bags of cat litter" at some point...
Or maybe "jugs of milk" or "bricks of lard" or something like that...

If the Brits can have stones, we can have bricks. Then I can say I've lost 13 bricks of Crisco and 3 pats of butter.

I think you're right.
It took me about 40 lbs loss the first time I lost weight before people actually started commenting.

Sometimes, it just takes a while.

I've lost about 24 pounds (from 296 down to 272) and I'm just barely maybe starting to notice my tummy doesn't stick out as far when I'm relaxed, standing in front of the mirror. I don't expect anyone else to notice for at least another 10-15 pounds, so I agree, I think that sounds just about right.

UPDATE:

When I posted those pictures I had the wrong start date on my ticker. I thought I started at 310 but my doctor told me I actually started at 302 so I dont know if I really had lost 18 pounds in those pictures or not. Thanks for all of the encouragement though. I'll post more pictures soon. Oh I did get down to 279. The lowest I've been so far but now I'm 283.
