50 pounds down!
Hiya everyone!
I made a promise to myself that when I lost 50 pounds I would post a mini goal album on here. When I first joined on here in Aug, I poured over all the mini goal albums for inspiration. They were my motivation when I would have cravings or didn't feel like exercising. Seeing the before and after pictures were just such a hope for me, so here is my joining in!
I still have alot to go, but I am officially over 50 pounds down, and have gone from a size 24 to a size 20--almost 18! I can now fit in 1X - 2X stuff where before I needed 3-4X. I weighed somewhere over 310 pounds in the first set of photos, although I had managed to convince myself I didn't look that bad. I NEVER let anyone photograph me from the waist down, and any photographs that were taken of me from the waist up were photoshopped by me so I didn't look as fat. I learned how to photoshop just so I could edit my photos. This is the first time I have ever admitted that. :( Anyways, these were the first photos I saw of my butt from behind and I just cried. I had been planning on another attempt to lose weight, but those photos were an official get-my-butt-in gear motivation.
I am still breastfeeding and had been trying in vain for the past few years since DD's birth to lose the baby gain, with no avail. I was afraid to go too low on my calories since I was BF, and had really tried to lose weight by exercising and keeping my calories at 2000, then an attempt at 1800, then another attempt at 1500. After seeing those photos, I decided to go to the extreme since DD is now over 2 and is eating solid foods, so I reduced calories to 1200 and FINALLY started seeing results. I was exercising moderately before, but in the past month I have really made some changes including extreme cardio (even running!) and ST at the gym. I have officially lost over 50 pounds and hope to get to 225 by Christmas. I was really comfortable at a size 12/14 (my pre pregnancy weight) and even though some people would consider that large, I looked good at that size with curves in the right places ;) , so my main goal for the moment is 199-175. Almost halfway there!
I included the first picture of me with the two other people in the photo because you might notice I was pulling down my shirt to try and hide my stomach. I was ALWAYS constantly adjusting my clothes to keep my shirts from riding up and this photo shows that, as well as my "gunt" sticking out in my jeans. I don't have to adjust my shirts anymore! And my stomach is now a "fupa" or a "muffin top" instead of a "gunt", lol. I officially have a waist, and ankles again! I may still be large, but I am starting to have a figure again which is so neat. :carrot:
