In a size 12!!!
 

Okay, so I started out at 290 lbs...and have finally made it under 200lbs (196 to be exact :)) AND I was able to get into a size 12 for my New Years Eve! I was so excited so I thought I would share. Thanks everyone for all of your inspiring stories! Hopefully I will be posting mine in 25 more lbs!

I'm always surprised to hear what size people are. I am 5'6 and weighed in at 190 this morning. I couldn't go near a 12. I have some things in a 16, but am still wearing an 18-20 in other clothes. Blows my mind.

I just realized you're not in the UK so the sizes are a bit different. A 12 would be a 14 here. I'm still nowhere near that.

You look great!! And you're so lucky!! Your body proportions are so much better than mine! Even when I was 180lbs I was still wearing a size 14!

Your doing great. Its really odd though that we have the exact same starting weight and goal weight. I'm not in a size 12 (yet) but hope to be there when the last 16lbs have gone.

An American size 12 is a size UK size 14 so you might be closer than you think.

I was also no where near that size (I was definitely higher) at that weight - but after a while on these boards, you learn that people really are that different! It's pretty amazing.

What size were you in the starting picture? Just curious as 290 is right around where I normally weigh but due to some health issues this past year have climbed up over 300. I always like to have someone near the same weight to use as motivation especially since you and I are the same height as well.
