Hi ladies!
My Maintenance WI this week showed a maintain!!! Yeah!! Congrats to you Fluffy!!! 50lbs is a VERY big deal:) Good for you! One idea that came to mind for a cold treat is to make popsicles out of our HNS...Could be yummy! Like the grape flavor maybe?? You could also make them a creamsicle with a creamy flavored HNS! I still enjoy my salads...and yesterday the hubby and I went to Subway for one as we frequently do...and instead of doing the oven roasted chicken salad (like normal) we tried the BBQ chicken on the salad! Delicious ladies! May want to try that :) While OP, that is the only "out to eat" meal I didn't feel guilty about:) Subway salads are great, and you can make any sandwich into one on their menu... |
I have been experimenting making a frittatas lately and having a good slice with a homemade turkey sausage, and it is nice to have differnt things in morning.. The one I made had the following.. I never measure much,so will give you an approx.
Broccoli, maybe a pound. mushrooms, garlic one clove, minced small onion small zucchini It called for 6 large eggs, but I used egg beaters to equal that. 1/3 cup soy milk or whatever milk is on your plan. I can't tolerate milk salt to taste ground pepper to taste dash nutmeg chopped chives from garden.. About a tbsp. or more, scallions may be used instead. Soy parmesan cheese( or whatever cheese is on your plan) I used grated 1 large tomato I mixed the wet ingredients, and then added dry escept tomato & cheese , as they are added at the end, and put in a Pam sprayed baking dish, 2 qt. is what I used, the long one. Place tomato slices all over top of the mixture, sprinkle with the cheese. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Ovens vary so yours could take longer or less. I may put under broiler for last 5 minutes next time to brown and bubble. This is so good and one can use any veggies or cheeses that are on their program.. I have made it with the soy shredded cheddar and it was delicious. I cut in slices and freeze . Patzi. |
My work participates in this online wellness program and I found a great tip sheet. If you're watching your sodium (we should anyway given it affects our weight), here's a list of seasonings & spices that are sodium free:

I am so mad I could just spit. I woke up this morning with no voice (again) but my throat and ear are just screaming at me. So I email in sick (no calling for Gail) and head to the doctors office. After about a 40 minute wait for a walk in appointment they check me for strep throat...nope not that, sinus infection. Ah, no wonder my head feels like it has been crammed full of small bitey insects. So I get a scrip for antibiotics and it is off I go. I figure I will not be up to weigh in this afternoon (and not going to work anyway) I will just stop in the center on my way to the pharmacy. I got there, signed in, and a counselor I have never seen was behind the desk. She looks at my name then turns around and goes into a room where another counselor and client are talking and starts up a conversation.
I figure ok, this will give me time to empty the bladder, etc etc. So go, do that, come back and stand there for 10 minutes at the counter with that heifer's back to me, completely ignoring me. After that I just kind of grabbed the husband and stumbled out. I may have dealt with it better if I was not in excessive pain at the moment, but if I could have drug her narrow *** across the counter I think I would have beat her weaselly little face in. At home now, trying like **** not to raid the fudgecicle stash in the freezer (since they have been there for 6 months, they are probably fairly funky anyway). And although I was not in a great mood to start with, I was looking forward to WI, the doctors scales had me losing 3 pounds. |
Tami...
Congrats on the maintain. That is great. I have never tried Subway, but I definately will give it a try. There is one not to far from the house. I still enjoy my salads, also. I will definately try the barb.chicken .. Thanks for sharing that. Patzi |
Galadreal - that has happened to me a couple of times. Sign in and wait 20-30 minutes while 3-5 counselors visit, go into stock room, etc. :getwell:

JenB72 - where is the Meta-Balance/Exercise post you refer to in earlier post? I "searched" for it in 3FC but no luck. TY

I saw that auto correct to Pete but couldn't edit it even though I tried! It was supposed to be "let". The iPad auto correct is so goofy Sorry

MKroyer - I'm sorry for your loss. Hopefully TOM things will iron out sooner. Mine messed up a bit from the program, but am back to being okay now... I take bc pills, so that helps.
Galadreal - sorry about your center. That stinks. I like to make an appointment with a few of the girls in our center... ones that have "been there" are so much easier for me to relate to. Also, for the frozen treat, I started in August, but I like to take the Double Chocolate pudding and make it then pop it in the freezer while I eat dinner or whatever. I'm wondering if the Hot Cocoa would be the same. Fluffy - Congrats! I also love that you donated your hair to the wigs programs. Yesterday I'm holding steady at 161.5. WI went well but I have a feeling these last few pounds are going to take their sweet time coming off. Granted, I'm a bit more lax with my eating, (which slows it down) ... I'm hoping to not let this weekend sabotage my eating habits so I can reach the 75 pound mark! |
I had my second body fat analysis today, it showed a loss of 1 percent fat since I started 5 weeks ago. Down 18 lbs now.
After my daughter got home from school I was telling her all about standing on the Tanita Body Composition Analyser, showing her my strip they gave me. She said "our scale does that too" ...so off to the scales we went, she bent down and pushed a few buttons, I got on scales and there was my BMI and other readings in the comfort of my home!!! Amazing!!! I think I will check it at home every few weeks or so. |
Rowdy - what type of scale do you have and were the at home results the same as the centers results? I need/want a new scale and one with that does BMI would be great as long as it didn't cost an arm and a leg.
|
ynapier- it is a Weight Watchers Body Analysis Scale. Of course I had no idea of the name before I looked it up or I would have known it did more that just weigh!! Walmart sells them, I checked online and they are $44. The reading was almost exactly the same reading as the one at MRC. It can measure body fat, body water, bone mass and BMI according to the description.
