New to MRC with lots of questions

Hi I just started my program. Will be getting my menu plan on Friday. I'm really excited to start losing weight. I have a few concerns. I signed on for a 4 week trial which includes HNS, Fish Oil, Multi-Vitamin and App. sup. with a 20lb weight loss guarantee. I was wanting opinions on MRC-6. Is it absolutely necessary? Will I notice a difference of inches lost? Another thing is the hormone testing. I plan on skipping it but wanted opinions. My periods have always been irregular. Also I have an 19 month old daughter and plan on having another in the future. I worry about taking to many pills and hurting my chances of getting pregnant in the long run. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

my personal opinion ..... skip all supplements except for multi-vitamin and oil ... the diet itself is good enough for you to lose weight at a consistent rate.

I second that. I'm in the same boat-- have a 17 month old, planning ot get pregnant in the near future. I'm not taking stuff for that reason, but I wouldn't be taking it anyway. I did MRC before my pregnancy, most of the time without any supplements, and I never noticed a difference in when I took them and when I didn't. You'll lose quickly on just the diet alone.

FWIW, I doubt the mrc-6 would hurt you. I wouldn't take anything if I were nursing, but if you're not, most of the ingredients are "natural" and are stuff we can pronounce like apple cider vinegar (I think that's the main ingredient, if I remember correctly). If it comes along with the four week thing, I would probably take it, but if you have to pay extra for it, I'd pass. To answer, though-- no, I didn't notice any difference in inches lost when I was or was not taking it. You'll lose inches anyway.

Should I take the HNS? Isn't that the biggest part of the diet?

Yes, the HNS are required. The pills (except for oil & multi) are optional.

Jen is absolutely right-- HNS are required. The supplements I was referring to were teh extra pills tehy push. HNS are just protein, so they're perfectly healthy and necessary for the program to work properly an so you won't be hungry.
