Another weigh in with no weight loss .. almost 2 weeks now. Its very discouraging. I think I will try Jen B's tips for the next 3 - 4 days.

Although I hate to see several of us struggling to take off this weight, it is comforting to know I am not alone in the battle.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about a 2-week stall. They happen, and sometimes it's better not to push it and just let your body adjust, as frustrating as it may be. If it goes more than 3 weeks, that's when I'd start to worry.

Tomorrow will mark my 3rd week total or 2 weeks mark on the actual plan and I find I am not losing like I was promised. I AM losing inches, I know that from home measurements, but it is frustrating that the scale moves and the next day it is back to where it was. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Ashley Rae, thanks for your post and getting the discussion going about hitting a wall. I generally go between being really "On-program" to being kind of bad. By being kind of bad, I mean I'll eat stuff that isn't on the menu, but I'm trying to make them somewhat healthy, high protein choices (ie. nuts, peanut butter, extra cheese). My chocolate indulgences have been kind of bad, but I am trying to eat just dark to keep the sugar down. I have found though that I have weight loss if I go from On-program for a while to a few days of trying to eat like a normal person. Also, it keeps me regular! I swear those HNS do something weird to our bodies...

If my little experiment works, I think I may do exactly as you suggest. Going back over my chart, the women at my center said, "That's weird. It looks like you went off-program more the first month and you were losing really well." That's what I'm saying! Two months of solid on-program didn't seem to be any better than 1.5 months of an off-plan choice every two weeks.
I've found that I haven't gained anything (not even water weight) yet from my off-plan eating on Monday and most of Tuesday. Now I'd love to see the weight drop off like it did in the beginning. Shucks, I'd be thrilled to be losing 2 pounds per week at this point!

When do you weigh in? I'm anxious to hear the results :)

I created my own progress chart to see how well I've been doing - because it just felt like every time I went in - it was 1 here 1 there, and that I hadn't done well since the first week.

Wk 1 - 7.5
Wk 2 - 5.0
Wk 3 - 3.5
Wk 4 - 2.0
Wk 5 - 0.5
Wk 6 - 2.0

So it's true the first week is mainly water - but it appears I hit a plateau Week 5, and now I'm starting to go back up. I guess I'll know for sure when I weigh in next week to see how much I've lost.

Just keep trucking!! Any loss is a win!

I weigh-in tomorrow to see how this week went. But, I'm really hoping to see results when I weigh-in on Monday and then again on Friday. Next week should be the "tell" as far as any increase in weight-loss.
So far, it's been only slightly challenging getting back "on plan," not because of cravings but because I was mentally aggravated. But, I persevered, so I'm hoping to see some good results. If not, I'll just end up staying on plan and losing slowly.
My stomach has been growling all day, so I'm hoping that I've revved my metabolism a bit. Of course, it was growling before this experiment, but not all day like it did today and yesterday. *Fingers crossed!*
Plus, I don't know if I mentioned this, but I'm only doing the mandatory 2 HNS per day for a bit. I know the ladies at the center will be a bit miffed, but it's what I did the first month and saw the best loss. So, I'm trying it again...and saving beaucoup bucks in the process ;P

Okay, friends, here's the scoop (for this week). Last Friday, I weighed in at 176.5. This Friday, I weighed in at 174.5! Two pounds down, which is more of a drop than I've seen in a couple of weeks. Woohoo! The ladies said I may have lost muscle by doing what I did, but when a Tanita thingie was run, I was at the same hydration and muscle mass, but a lower fat percentage. So, it would appear as if I've done something right ;P
But, as I've said, next week will be the real test. If I lose 2 or more pounds by next Friday, it may be an indication that I've given my metabolism the extra boost that it needed by going off-plan for 24 hours.
I'll be sure to check in on Monday and Friday of next week :) See you soon!

That is great!!! I know for me, if I add any carbs at all, I stall and have to do the 3-5 days to get back on track. Right now I am cutting the bread and/or fruit for a few days to get a head start. The other good thing is it cuts my appetite.

WOW! I hoped that this would work for you! I'll be really interested to see what your weigh-in shows next Friday!

What a relief to finally be losing again, though. :)

Congrats on the loss. It makes me so sad that you had to go through so much trouble to figure things out, but I am happy you were able to figure out something that would work for you! :carrot:

This is very interesting and gives me hope. I had some bad things happen this past week and I have been off plan for a couple of days and it worried me. See, last Wednesday, my horse jumped a fence and was impaled on a T-post. Thursday, we had to put her down. Friday we started worrying we were going to lose her 2 month old foal also as he wouldn't eat, Friday night we brought in a surrogate mother for him, just to find out our gelding has adopted him as his own and won't let the surrogate near him, then the two adult horses had to learn to get along and it has been extremely emotional. I didn't eat at all Thursday, but I did manage to get the HNSs in, then I tried to stay somewhat on track over the weekend, but didn't do well at all. I am starting back right today, so I hope y'alls experiences will help me too.

Oh, goalbound, I'm so sorry! Don't worry about a couple of days off plan. Just get right back in there and do your best.

Well, today was a pleasant surprise at weigh-in. I was down 1/2 of a pound. Yeah, doesn't sound like much, but I started my TOM yesterday, so that's with bloat and everything! Ladies, I do believe that going 24 hours off-plan to shock my body did the trick! I'm soooooooooo pleased! :carrot: I can't wait for Friday's weigh-in! Hopefully, all bloat will be gone by then and I'll see some megaloss! Wooooooohooooooo!
