After I lost about 25lbs, all of a sudden my period was starting on Thursday, and now I start my period on Wednesday morning of the placebo week.
I think the weight loss is actually helping to regulate my cycle a little bit--which is promising, because the whole reason I went on the pill when I was 19 was because I was sooooooooo irregular. We're hoping to try for our first pregnancy this summer, so I'm hoping this weight loss is really kicking my system into some kind of "normal." :)
I just got on the pill Wednesday to regulate my period. Before MRC, I would have my period once every 3-4 months, and it would last about a week. But since I started losing, TTOM came and never left (34 days straight and counting), and brought with it acne like you would not believe. So, I got on Yaz, to hopefully get it to stop. (I know, maybe a little too much information to share)
The center told me that my period might change, but holy cow, I felt like I was dying. My friend told me, "you should really be afraid of something that bleeds for a week and doesn't die". My poor husband felt bad for me and told me, "I can't wait until we get this resolved". I, unfortunately, snapped at him and said, "We? Who is we? The only affects you are feeling is the lack of marital bliss at bedtime (OK, I said it differently, but you get the point)".
So, long story short, hopefully this side effect of getting healthy will go away soon.
Thanks for letting me share.
