Real Quick HNS Question...

Okay, I know that I need to drink 64 oz of water...minimum, but I want to know if my HNS' count toward my water intake as well since I'm mixing them with water? Does that make sense?:?:

No, the HNS does not count toward the 64oz.

Good luck!

No it doesn't. I usually drink mine mixed with carbonated, flavored water. It takes care of my pop cravings.

I am glad you asked that. I am not drinking enough water then! THanks!

64 really isn't enough anyway....my center told me 80-120 was what I really needed. Are they happy with your 64 ounces?

Crap....I'm definetely not drinking enough water then. I went and weighed in yesterday (down 2 more lbs:)) and we went over my food diary. I was honest and told her I was just barely getting in the 64 oz....ideally they want me drinking like 80 oz but she said as long as I was getting in the 64 oz then I could work my way up since this is all a learning process and a lifestyle change. I wouldn't say they were happy I was only getting in 64 oz but she didn't make me feel bad or really lay into me about it....basically getting to 80 oz is a goal I need to set for myself. But anyway, the bottome line is that I'm really not even getting in the 64 oz b/c I figured my HNS's counted. :( Well the goal for today is to do better now that I know better! :)

Yeah, if you aren't used to drinking that much, it's a struggle at first.

I really struggled just to get my daily 64oz in every day--and I had to pee ALL THE TIME. I even almost wet the bed one night (I was in a deep sleep and almost didn't make it to the bathroom in time)! :^:

I've slowly worked up to 80oz a day, and my bladder seems to have adjusted, as well. I still have to go to the bathroom a lot, but at least it's not all the time, uncontrollably anymore.

What I did was get one of those 32 ounce reusable bottles from Wal Mart. It was $2 and has a straw in it, which for me, means it goes down quicker! There is something about sucking up the water instead of having to tip something up to drink it that helps it. If you drink 3 of those (1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon and 1 when you are home from work) that's 96 ounces of water!! HOLY SMOKES! I try to drink 4 a day. 2 in my morning (8:30-1:00) 1 in the afternoon (1-5:30) and then another in the evening (5:30-11). The bottle is clear (well, green clear plastic) and that helps me because I can see the water going down. I just tell myself, OK! THREE big gulps and you are halfway there!

I bought one of those bottles to help me keep track too. I wasn't getting NEAR enough water at all. I bet this will help out alot! I am so glad someone brought this up!

The bottles def. help! Plus, you have the added bonus of taking them everywhere.

You should be drinking half your weight in ounces of water - so if you weigh 200 lbs, you should be drinking 100 oz/day.

When I lost rapidly between 8/09 to Jan/10 (roughtly 70 lbs), I was drinking approx 120+ oz water per day.
Of course, in addition, I maxed (5 at the beginning) on the hns drinks. So much liquid indeed!
