Tomatoes?
Hey ya'll! I am new here (have read some threads before, but just signed on today!). I am in my third week of MRC and have lost 10 pounds.
I have a question about tomatoes. I know the sheet says raw tomatoes, but I can only eat them cooked. I have been roasting some cheery tomatoes and the ladies at my center said that was a no-no. It is the same tomato raw and cooked? So why no cooked tomatoes? Any other tips for a newbie? |
They should have explained the reasoning to you. No, apparently, and much to the disappointment of most of us, it is not the "same" tomato. The sugar content shoots up if the tomato is cooked.

I know - so many weird rules. The one I laughed about was "no carrots," which is the diet food I forced myself to eat while gagging for so many years. I was like, "good riddance!" There are some strict rules, but some awesome ones too (ie., cheese is allowed! yea!).
