Hi Ronnie,
I think we go to the same center and when I hit a plateau not too long ago, they started talking to me about it too. Then i took too long making up my mind and the weight started coming off again and no one has brought it up. Anyhow, I did research the heck out of it and read several websites regarding hormonal balance while losing weight. I decided that if I did do the test, I would take the results to my doctor and talk with them about it. The progesterone cream from MRC isn't anything new, you see it sold all over, but interpreting the results, I certainly don't trust the center with. There's nothing harmful about having the test done and seeing what it says, but I would recommend you get a second opinion on what action to take based on the results - since that's where the danger can lie. Everything I read suggested that results rarely come back 'spot on' because there's always something that *can* be tweaked. Good luck and keep us posted, we're all very curious. You're so close to goal! That must be very exciting, I'm sure you'll get there very soon! |

Please stop beating yourself up. Try positive thinking vs being so hard on yourself. Think of what you have achieved vs what you haven't.

ok - so here's the rest of this story. i've been pretty unmotivated since the first part of april and frankly haven't really lost any weight because i am just burnt out. my contract is up may 22 and i've been dreading what would happen then. i decided that i wasn't going to sign up for extra weeks quite a while ago, not because i care about the money so much (although i do care some) but because i know i'm going to start losing ground with the attitude i have now. so i went into the center today with the proposal that i start stabilization even though i'm not at my goal weight. at first they had pretty big reservations about it. they said they wouldn't be doing me any service by letting me start maintenance before i was at a healthy weight / bmi. but i pointed out that they wouldn't be doing me any service by letting me walk away feeling like a failure after i've, truly, be very successful. so they agreed to let me start stabilization at the end of the month. i want to get down to 170 by then - which i am very motivated to do. the counselor made me promise to come in for the whole year of maintenance. also to make sure to drink 4 HNS everyday between now and then. I am super excited. i feel like a weight has been lifted (pun intended). ;)
