a belated hello

Hello everyone,
I started MRC in January of this year. I am in my mid-fifties and went to WW over and over again. I felt that I kept on trying their program and the results at one time were good but with my increased age, the weight loss with WW was about a half to one pound a week. And when you have lots of weight to lose, it was easy to be discouraged and quit.

So, I tried MRC and I have to admit, I am pleased with my results thus far. I believe that the center and also this forum has helped me a great deal.

I would like to say a belated hello to everyone and thanks for the ideas and suggestions. It's great to know where to shop for products and which "herbs" work.

Hi there! Thanks for posting that. It is encouraging to hear from someone who has done/is doing it.
I did WW twice with good results but it never "stuck" for me mentally. Hoping and praying that this will be different.

Hi and welcome! :) I had great results on WW but I tend to get frustrated with keeping track of things, so I find MRC a little easier even though its restrictive.

Oh and congrats on the weightloss so far!! I bet its great to be back down to the 100's again!

Yes, it does feel great to be in the 100's again! This will happen to you also if you just stick with it. I read a diet book in which the mantra was,"I'm going to stick with this for one more day." Hope this works for you and I wish you success with your program.

Welcome! I did WW also. I had great results, but keeping track of points was tedious. I prefer the MRC method.

Thanks ThinknThin! I cant wait..I cant imagine..I was like 19 when I was 199!! I wonder if I can work on getting to 199 again while I’m still 29 lol…It would be nice to start 30 off looking better than ever! I like the mantra b/c I pretty much have to take everything one day at a time.. I think I say the same thing about work every day HAHA

Karla- I was so awful at counting points..I mean it got some what easier but then I would flip out of if had to eat something in public that I couldn’t figure out points on. Of course I still have issues eating out..but basically I know what foods are “safe” for me right now. BTW I’m so glad to see your still around this msg board..you have so much going on and you have such an awesome personality about everything!
