MRC Guarantee
Hello!! This is my first post on the boards so please go easy on me!! :)
I had never heard of MRC until a friend of mine in Omaha, NE told me about it. She looked up a location in my city online for me and I made an appointment for my consultation. I went on Wednesday, 3/24. I have quite a bit of weight to lose (82#'s roughly) and was interested in what I learned at the appointment. I was about to say yes and sign the contract UNTIL the part about vegetables came up!! I am not a veggie eater and EVERY PLAN I have ever been on I have failed cuz I cannot force myself to eat them. It is like pure torture for me. (I have tried several of them: WW, HCG, Jenny Craig, Body for Life, HMR, etc.) My questions are this and I can't seem to get a straight answer: Does MRC guarantee anything? What if I try this for 2 weeks and decide it is not for me, am I out the entire $400 that I paid? What if I buy a supplement and it tastes ungodly awful, can I exchange it or return it? or am I just stuck with it and out the money? And what if I don't lose the weight they say I am going to (provided I do my part and stay on plan), do they extend my contract or do I have to pay more? Sorry for so many questions but I just can't justify spending that much money if I am just out if it isn't for me. I asked a lot of questions at my appointment but it seemed like either she didn't know the answers or she didn't want to give them up. Maybe it's just me. I say that maybe she didn't know the answers as our center is new and just opened on Feb. 1st. I am trying to decide whether or not to join by Monday. Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Have a great weekend!!! ~Karri |
They guaratee that if you stick 100% to the program for the entire time that you will lose 2lbs a week, and if not you get your money back or extend the time for free or something. If you try it for two weeks and decide it's not for you you lose the money you paid. If you don't lose all the weight you do have to pay for more time unless the guarantee above applies.
If you buy a supplement and don't like it you can not exchange or return it, but some centers have swap baskets that you can use to trade the one you don't like for something in the basket. Dont worry about asking questions, that's what we're here for. Be careful about the money back guarantee, if you even eat one hershey kiss and they know you won't get your money back. The vegetables are hard to eat, so maybe this isn't the right plan. But try to find one veggie you like and eat that. I eat a LOT of tomatoes because I like those as opposed to anything else. |

I think that they some sort of veggie supplement available, although I don't know much about it. From my perspective, it would be really hard to do this program without being open to veggies. In my experience, I haven't considered myself a big "veggie person" but have tried new ways of cooking them, incorporating them in my diet and have actually enjoyed the experience and been pleasantly surprised. When you give your body good nutrients it just makes you feel better too. Personally I felt resistant when starting this--couldn't imagine getting "from here to there" and it seemed overwhelming at first....but I did know "it was time" and so started out one meal at a time. Preconditioning was hard for me....I lost the weight very slowly....but I have surprised myself that I can do so much more in a short period of time than I THINK I can--and part of it for me is taking the "thinking out" and putting the "doing" in place. I also found that taking the sugar out of my diet made me feel better than I ever imagined and that any hunger I felt was mild compared to the "energy drop and feeling of I need to eat something NOW" that I was putting my body through before. That's just my take. The choice is yours...You have to work with the program and be open to change....but if you're at that point you'll be surprised what you can do. Good luck with your decision. |
