Missing Spicy Foods

I am a salt person and the sea salt works fine for that taste bud. What I am really missing is salsa, onions and taco seasoning with some kick. I noticed in the cookbook you can use McCormick low sodium taco seasoning but it is rather bland to me. When do you get to add onions to your menus? Any ideas to help me out?

I make my own salsa... tomatoes, jalapenos, onion powder, garlic powder and cumin (cumino). I blend it and you can hotter jalapenos. I have replaced white onions with onion powder or green onions. You can also use tobasco to add some more kick. You might try chili powder or chili flakes to spice stuff up too. They are usually in the mexican isle. Good Luck!!!

Mrs. dash makes a "spicy" seasoning. Also, I like to use El Tapatio hot sauce, it doesn't have sugar, low carbs and fits into the program. I love, love, love spicy! So if you can come up with anything else, let me know.

You're not allowed white or red or yellow onions on this diet because they are too high in sugar. Green onions are the only fresh kind we can have, but onion powder is ok.
