I should start stabilization the first week of Feb. That's my plan. I've got three weeks to get off 11#, or I should at least be close enough to goal that they will let me start stabilization.
I hope you all have a good week. Stay warm....It looks like the whole country is cold.

Congrats! You are rocking this program! It took me from July-Dec. to lose 43 pounds. Keep up the awesome work!!!:D

Thank you Porchmom and Goose,
We are all so close. We can do this.
Goose, tomorrow is another day. Glad you're back OP.

Let's go. I also was up 3.5 pounds on 12/29 from my holiday foodfest..I had to go back and look at an old thread post to find it but I SO remember adjusting that ticker to reflect the gain and how that was yuckky. SO....here we go again....ticker is coming DOWN for you and for all of us! It's time to finish the job!

Way to go!

I too am back to my pre holiday weight. I was up 3 lbs and it is gone, so now I can move on to the next 7 lbs that I have to go.. I was told I still have too much body fat so they don't want to stabilize me until I can get that off. So I am walking more and doing some workouts with weights. I can hardly wait to get past this bump in the road.. Good luck to all of us,, we can do this!

Goose 01-15-2010 10:18 PM

Just checking in with everybody to see where we are this week...any losses? I'm weighing in tomorrow. gulp.

RonnieAdl 01-16-2010 04:21 AM

I lost 2.5 pounds last week so I am happy! I just keep going.. I will get there..
Cheers!

Ronnie

E4FEwife 01-16-2010 11:00 AM

I weighed in and lost nothing on Thursday. Part of the lack of loss was most likely what I was wearing. My scale at home says I am down 2.5 lbs as of this morning. We'll see on Monday when I go in. They want me to go to the stabalization party on Monday. I'm probably going to wait until next month though.

Goose 01-16-2010 12:26 PM

Awesome progress, everyone! I weighed in today and was only down 1.5 lbs. Counting on 2 next week and then I'll be back to where I was before the holidays.

Roadqueen 01-16-2010 03:52 PM

Went to WI this AM. Down another 2#. As always, I wish it had been more, but I'll take it. Now I'm truly 9# from stabilization....but I've only got two weeks to get there before my contract is up. I'm upping my exersize and doing medi quick this week. The push is on....

malachite67 01-16-2010 05:36 PM

Down 3 pounds, I'm 6 pounds from stabilization and have until February 8th OP. I talked to consultant today about losing 10 pounds beyond what I signed up for. I still can't believe the weight loss--I haven't been this slender for about 20 years.

E4FEwife 01-16-2010 08:33 PM

For all of you ladies (and gentleman) who are really concerned about the contract date, I am past my "designated" date of December 31st and they have not said boo about it. Granted I did have surgery and they told me they could put me on medical hold for a week or two but never did. Another one of my friends went 2 months past her "date" and they never said anything to her or tried to push her off the plan, charge her more, etc. Just keep going and act like nothing is different. Actually when I weighed in on Dec 31st (my scheduled date when I was suppose to be at goal) I even said something to the lady there about being bummed I wasn't quite there yet. She said I would get there eventually and then weighed me in.

Well, that is interesting. My center has already brought it up. I'll just see what happens. I've been told that many continue to loose weight on stabilization.
I'm happy to be this close to my goal and I'm not going to let anything halt my progress. It will work out.
Sounds like everyone has had a good week, and I wish everyone a big loss next week.

Recommitment

I've been reading many of the posts but haven't posted myself in a while. I'm doing fine, but I didn't finish stabilization. I got the week 4 menu in mid-December, and then the holidays got in the way of my focus! So, starting today I'm recommitting to finish stabilization correctly and become an 'official' maintainer!

I have maintained...at most I'll gain about 2-3 pounds, and then I'll get back down to my 60 pound loss. My problem is that every time I hit 141 (60 pound loss), I start letting myself splurge and cheat until I've gained the 2-3, and then I'm good for a few days to get it off...and then I do it again! I really need to get down to about 135, so this cycle of 141-144 needs to stop! I've increased my exercise, so if I wasn't cheating like I have been, I could have already been at 135...dumb on my part. I haven't weighed in at the center since before Christmas, which isn't a good plan. I hate to go if I'm up even 1 pound, so I've procrastinated since I also haven't been doing my food logs.

All that to say, beginning today I'm doing my food logs and keep OP 100% so I can get down to 135 and finish stabilization correctly. I wish you all a great week! Coming back to read your posts keeps me going!

E4FEwife 01-18-2010 08:00 PM

I went in today and lost 2#. Everyone at the Center kept asking me if I was attending the Stab. party tonight. I said nope, I wasn't to stabilization yet and therefore am not ready to celebrate yet. I don't know if it's just me being stubborn or what. I still have at least 5 lbs that I want to lose. Maybe I'm just being crazy and obsessive about getting to where I need to be. Only 1 lady there kind of gave me the "that's okay, do the party when you're ready" feeling. Anyway... it was a good weigh-in none-the-less.

porchmom84 01-21-2010 08:56 PM

WI today and I lost a pound in the last week. Felt especially good as I was at nephew's wedding last weekend and off program for 3 days....got right back on Monday a.m. I had carb blocker but forgot to pack it....so I feel lucky. I will start stabilization next week....stabilization party is next Thursday night. I look forward to a change....a little scared but mostly look forward to adding some more foods in.

RonnieAdl 01-21-2010 11:18 PM

I am still battling the sweets thing. Blew it last night at work. Didn't go weigh in today. Although my scale at home said I lost another pound, I am scared it will show up as a pound gained tomorrow. Although it really isn't a pound of fat.. I am going to swill down the water and excercise hard so when I go in tomorrow hopefully it will be ok..

disappointed

Well I went to WI today and only lost 1#. I have to say I'm very disappointed.
I did Medi quick for 4 days, rode by bike more, and stayed 100% OP.
Sooooo I still have 8# more to get to my goal. Maybe it will all drop off next week (ha ha). I would feel better if I could point to some specific thing that I messed up on. How did everyone else do this week?

Hang in there! Sometimes it seems like the weeks I put forth more effort, exercise more, etc. that the weight doesn't drop as fast. I'm weighing in tomorrow and am nervous just because I've exercised more this week and followed plan to a "t".......I know I'll be so disappointed if it doesn't drop like I hope!

cmb9697 01-23-2010 09:04 AM

yeah, I've done metaquick twice. The first time I had a good 2.5 pound loss, the second time, barely a pound. But then afterwards I had another good loss, don't be discouraged. It doesn't seem to work consistently the same each time but I think it does help somehow.

Goose 01-24-2010 12:00 PM

Weighed in yesterday and was down 2 lbs! Now I'm back to my pre-holiday weight! 6.5 lbs to go!!! Woohoo!

Yea! Keep going. The holidays and special events are rough...but if I had it to do over again I wouldn't....it was enjoyable to be off program.....and we just need to get back on and keep going.....

Roadqueen 01-29-2010 12:08 PM

Check up

OK, How did everyone do this week? I read on one of these threads that someone made it to stabilization..... Can't remember who....but congrats to you!
I went to WI this AM and was down 2.5#. Finally, I'm loosing again. I talked with the center and they agreed that I should be ready for stabilization in two weeks.......Yes, yes, yes.

sexyrene 01-29-2010 01:18 PM

Congrats to you Roadqueen!!!
It's going extremely slow for me and it does get frustrating at times.

I'm not doing well... started therapy to help with the emotional side of weight loss and encountering a lot of strong emotions which in turn is making me want to eat. Sort of a big circle but my therapist does our connections classes at MRC and she said this is all going to help so I am just sticking it out.
My center knows what I am doing and are happy about it and basically said do the best I can and try to at least maintain. I have also started working out much more since the bf built a gym in the basement.
I am hopeful but still a little discouraged because I have put 10 lbs back on and seem to have so far to go till stabilization might be March now. :( I think I am at 33% fat and they want me around 27%.

Seems almost impossible...

Hang in there, Daizy! It is a rough road for sure and one that we will be on for the rest of our lives or we'll end up right back where we started. Just remember you are not alone!:D

Hang in there. Good you are talking to someone as sounds you've got lots of growth going on which is always great in the end but hard in the middle. Centers are all different. I just started stabilization and I'm at 34.1% fat still with a healthy BMI and my center is very encouraging to me!

Goose 01-30-2010 04:04 PM

Weigh in update: only a .5 loss this week. Hope this isn't an indication of the next 6 lbs...otherwise it'll take forever. Patience, patience, patience.

RonnieAdl 01-30-2010 04:09 PM

I also had only a .5 loss, but after talking to the new guy at my center, I think I can get this done. He is a fitness trainer and he has a wonderful sense of humor.. He talked to me for an hour and gave some great advice on the food issues as well as some excercises I can do.. So hopefully this will help me with the last 6.5 lbs that needs to go.. It really is a mind game..

How did you like Zumba? I went to my 1st class this morning....lucky for me it was a special power hr. so instead of an hr. it has an hr. & a half ;) I loved it. I hope you enjoyed it. I was on bed rest for the past almost 3 months so I felt like I was going to hit the floor lol. But after the fact I felt great for being able to survive the class lol!

Good for you! An hour and a half.....GOSH that's a long time. You're a trooper! It's fun.l I just pretend I move as good as the instructor and have fun. My goal is just to keep moving--I modify as I go.

Thanks for all of the encouragement!

I had a rough weekend but a lil switch seemed to go off last night... not just with the program but me in general. I am tired of feeling 'blue' all the time. I miss the upbeat me. Today feels like a new begining.

I bought a new journaling notebook, it has Wonder Woman on the cover, I got a new phone with the cutest purple leopard print cover, and scheduled a hair apt on Friday to change my hair. I just feel better today.

I have also kept up on my work outs and did cardio 5 days last week. I'm shooting for adding more workouts... 3 days of circuits, Wed night Shimmy and Yoga and Sat morning Hip Hop class.

Now if I could only get my sleep in check. Saw almost every hour last night.

I went to WI today and was still 150. I am sticking to plan this week (and weeks in the future) and I will be lighter at WI Friday.

Great to hear! A couple of books that I really like are "The Depression Cure"
by Stephen Ilardi and "The Happiness Project" by Gretchen Ruben (not sure of spelling). There is also a Happiness Project blog. Glad you're nurturing yourself.....you will get there!

daizy hotrocks 02-02-2010 11:25 AM

Thanks porchmom!!

I have so many books I have and need to read. I think I am going to start reading those books at night before bed. I am still struggling with sleeping and have a big comfy chair with a reading lamp close. That might help. I will put them on my list!

I have kept up with my exercise too and that seems to help keep me motivated.

sgustin8 08-28-2010 10:29 PM

Can anyone give me a list of foods that they add during each week of stabilization? Much appreciated!
