Question for the Repeaters
:?:
I have a question for those of you who are going through the MRC program for a second round (or more). With the exception of having a baby... can you tell us why or how you ended up back to do it again? Was it because you didn't go through stabilization / maintenance? Were there other factors? I'm not there yet, but close (If I play nice and stay OP). I know that stabilization & maintenance are keys to success here and I also understand that I can't go back to the way I was before, grazing all day on bad stuff like chips & cookies. I guess I just want to have the assurance that the only thing that can bring me back to my unhappy place is just me not doing things right, and not outside sources... Thanks for your valuable insight!! Carla B. |
Well...i know you said coming back other than for having a baby...but I thought I'd throw my two cents in anyway...
I quit (or paused rather) my program when i got pregnant. I always planned on coming back as I had only lost about half of my goal, so I'm not exactly what you're talking about, but I didn't intend to gain back everything i lost plus some. SO my lesson learned is don't make excuses. A baby/pregnancy is a great excuse...but so are many many other things that come up in life. What i learned is that no excuse is worth gaining back weight that I worked hard to lose. I don't think there was any other one reason that i gained my weight back other than i felt like i had a good excuse. I hope you get good feedback from others :) Good luck on stab/maint. I'll be there someday... |
Hvnlymzic,
I know what you mean... I ate everything and anything while pregnant and even afterwards becuase I could. I weighed more AFTER being pregnant than when I was. Not that I wasn't already fighting the battle before I got pregnant :) |
