water softener question

I know we are watching our sodium...but I got to thinking...I have a water softener in my home which is softened with salt....I have been drinking this...I wonder if it is hurting me. Any ideas anyone??? :dizzy: I have no clue.

According to the Mayo Clinic http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sodium/AN00317 it probably doesn't add much sodium. You might want to have a sample analyzed just in case yours has more than you should have.

Generally, I wouldn't not think this is a good idea. I have soft water in my house, but it doesn't feed to my kitchen sink. To me it tastes odd. I would surely look into a new plan.

I don't like the taste either...but my hubby can't get to the "project" to switch it right now. I just try filling up my 32 oz water bottle at work before I go home! :dizzy:
