Water Question...

Can anyone tell me if the total amt of water we're supposed to have per day includes the water we use when we mix our HNS's, etc?? :?: I'm supposed to have 80 oz water/day and this a.m. I used my 8 oz to mix my HNS and I've been thinking about it ever since! I guess most nurses are a little anal retentive. :D Thanks, in advance, for the help! :)

My understanding is that the plain water we are required to drink is just that...plain water. You don't count the water you use to mix HNS, Crystal Light, etc. Just count your plain ole' aqua ounces!:D

goose is correct. the 64 +ounces of water is on top of the HNS's, tea, etc.

Wow! I'll be drinking a ton of water then....b/c think about the 80 oz of plain H2O (they told me to drink 80 oz) and then all the HNS's AND all the water in the food (veggies, etc).....amazing! I figured the amt didn't include the water we use to mix stuff but I can say that I was secretly hoping that it did ;) My body will never thirst again!!

Thanks for your replies, ladies!

Drinking 80 oz or 120 oz won't seem so bad as you get used to having that water right there by you. When your body gets into ketosis, just a little bit even, you will have a slightly metallic taste in your mouth and be thirsty. That will help remind you, keep drinking water. We need the water to flush the toxins and stuff from burning the fat cells. So I raise my glass to y'all! Here's to a wonderful group of losers! ;) Have a great weight loss day!:) jeanette
