Everyone,

I can definitely use a buddy. I started at 141.5lbs May 8 and here I am on June 7 at 141 lbs. It seems I keep losing and gaining 2-3 lbs.

I am at the Westminster, CO location.

When do they check for Ketosis? I haven't been checked yet.

Hi CBDenver!!

I'm glad to have you hear. I'm also surprised to hear about your yo-yo-ing... Having done this diet twice in the past I have seen plateaus but rarely gaining...here and there but the trend always went down...especially over 4 weeks time...

Here are some tricks that I've found may help you lose...
1. Time your meals, don't let yourself get off schedule...your first meal should always be completely eaten before 1 hour has past of you waking up. Then write down on a piece of paper what time you generally go to bed and evenly space your lunch and dinner...So I usually get up at 6...take my 1/2 b4 pills...eat at 6:30...five hours later at 11:30 I take my b4 lunch pills...eat at noon...then 5 hours later I take my before dinner pills (at 5) and eat at 5:30....then go to be at 10 ish (4 1/2 hours later)...so pretty evenly spaced...staying on schedule really has made a difference for me in the past.
2. up your hns to the max
3. skip the creamies and the bars...just to get you beyond the plateau...if you're going crazy add one in but wait for the day that you really really really can't stand it a minute longer...i find when i get stuck having a pudding/creamy every day I see a slower weight loss.
4. add in the enhancer...take everything and anything you can afford...i do all day weight loss, mrc 6 and cori-trim
5. skip the cheese...it's good...it's delicious...it really dolls up an egg perfectly...but skip it...boil up some eggs in advance....or get a microwave egg poacher...they sell them at walmart and all over i'm sure and it cooks up a yummy poaced egg in seconds....
6. get a little extra sleep..go to bed early...
7. skip the weight training and stick to cardio....if you're not doing any cardio start out 15 mins a day and work up to 25-30 mins....weight training will help with inches if you're not worried about seeing a change in the scale it's a great way to burn calories...

ok well I hope something above helps....you're doing great sticking with the program. it's worth the time and effort...you'll see the results...you really will...I've gotten down to 125 twice in the past on this diet and i'm normally a solid 135-150lbs kind of person...I was even in a size 4 last time after having two kids...and i'm never a size 4...

Stick with it...if you're having trouble sticking to the program b/c a food is nagging you let me know what your nemosis is and I'll see if I have any thoughts/suggestions/replacements.

Today i had the yummiest apple with lunch...cored, sliced, in a bowl w/splenda and cinnamon, covered with saran wrap, microwaved for a minute and a half...delicious sweet treat!!

Oh and made up some texas chili today...kicked butt!! was just as delicious as I remebered!!! And easy

oh sorry...forgot to answer your ketosis question....i'm a mail order client so i never have the delight to pee on the ketone stick...but when i was a regular client they had me do so everytime i checked in...but I wouldn't really worry about that too much as long as your sticking to the program it really shouldn't be a concern....in my opinion....lOL...but the first time i did the program i checked in at a center b/c i lived close enough and could and got down to 125 and the second time i did the program i was mail order and still got to 125...chin up you can do it...

oh and last suggestion to see weight loss is to up the water in take...64 is a minimum and really is a minimum....I drink almost a gallon a day...

Dieting again,

Thanks for the info. Here is my issue....I don't get a lot of choices because I am allergic to artificial sweetners. I CRAVE sugar constantly. It was all I could do today to not purchase a candy bar and eat it before getting out of the store but I did better than 2 weeks ago when I gave in.

I take the Phentatrim, Corti-slim, Flax, Multi, Goggul, Internal Cleanser, etc....don't think I can take much more and not get sick.

I am having a hard time with eating at the same time because I never get out of work before 6. I am trying to increase the HNS but it gets boring to constantly have the Chicken Boullion.

Thanks for the help!

I also go to the center in westminster..... They havent offered yet to check me for ketosis.....all you have to do is ask though!! I went in on friday and told them i had to pee, and asked if i could have one of the sticks and they gave me one... i even brought it back up to the front desk when i was done to have them take a look at it ( i didnt know what i was looking for!!) Gross huh? but they said i wasnt the only one ot do that.. Also, they will run a body comp. and take measurements any time you ask them too as well. Keep on working and trying! You'll figure out what works best for you, and then the weight will just start melting off!! Good Luck!
OH! and if i can add one more suggestion..try and make sure you weigh in every week at the same time/same day etc...Always go in tues night (for example) before dinner/after work, whatever. It makes a difference...we loose and gain a lot of weight throughtout the course of a day, so you might see diffferent numbers if you consistently go at the same time every week... Just a suggestion
Dietingagain-- i made chile last night, and brought it for lunch today!! I cant wait to try it!! It looked delicious last night when it was cooking... Thanks for the recipe!!
How did everyones weekend go?!? OP? fall of a little??

Wow CBDenver...allergic to artificial sweetners....I feel your pain!!! I made a cauliflower creamy soup with the chicken bouillon today... Took 4oz cauliflower and blended that until smooth with the chicken boullion and 8 oz water...then put in 4 oz of turkey (I put the turkey through the food processor so it's small bits)...and that's my soup for lunch today...can't guarentee it's yumminess...but may offer some variety in the bouillon world....is that the only one you can take? Stay stong you can do this....

I bet you can do the apple bake with just cinnamon...slice up an apple...sprinkle some cinnamon and microwave for a minute and a half...sweet and delicious...

i made the french toast yesterday! it WAS pretty good..i however, thought that two eggs for the batter was a little much for one pice of bread, so i prepared the extra egg over medium...hope that is ok...I assummed it would be.....BTW, using one egg was just the right amoutn of batter...Glad to hear you were on plan dietingagain!!!! I dont know about you, but i feel so much better going into the week no feeling like i have to start making up for poor choices over the weekend...Plus, its a LOT easier to stay on plan now that im seeing the results!! Highly motivating, to say the least!! I know some people get the 'opposite' mentality, and think "well, this has been working so well, and ive been so good, i DESERVE this little cheat..." Not me!!! my success is fueling my desire more now than ever to stay on plan!!!
have a great week ladies!

well this is the beginning of week 4 op...the only thing that is holding me back is eating meals on schedule....but i get busy and completely forget to eat....weigh-in today 144.6....my first weigh-in that I wrote down was 149.2 but I had been on program for two weeks at that point...so who knows how much i've really lost...being mail order sucks sometimes...LOL I lost two inches in my thigh in one week...

2 eggs is a lot for those little bitty pieces of bread....then i eat sweetened eggs on the side and they are not so tasty on their own...i'll try 1 egg next time...then i can prepare the second as I please...

cbdenver...soup was....so so...not the best soup i've had in my life but definetly tolerable...I was thinking of adding in some green onion next time for a little extra something....was missing something...but all in all a nice change of pace...oh and i hear you on the # of pills...I think I counted 45 a day last time i checked up on mine...wooooo that's nut-so!! LOL But I guess it works so i chug um down....sounds like you got a nice collection of stuff you take...

Default SPLENDA question

You guys-- I was just preparing delicious food and all, using some splenda, when i noticed splenda in fact DOES have calories, and does have carbs!! Now, not to sound like a pig BUT, i have been POURING it into EVERYTHING that would taste good sweetend!
Does anyone know if we have a limit on how many Splendas were allowed to have per day?/ I honestly thought it was unlimited, and i treated it as such...
Thanks!!

Thanks so much for your kind words and suggestions.

I have been trying some of the drink concentrates just to see if they will help.

Has anyone had a bad experience with the consultants? Most of them have been great but today I felt ultra pressured to buy supplements that I told them weren't working. They told me I needed them because I was at a plateau....how do you get to a plateau if you are gaining and losing the same 2 lbs?!?

I just don't have $500 to spend on supplements when I don't see them working.

Does anyone else use Phentatrim? Does it work for you?

Hi there! I thought I would jump in and give you my experiences with Phentatrim. When I started my diet in January my consultant told me to try the Phentatrim, I didn't know any better so I did. I did lose but when I was at a plateau it seemed that it was harder to break. I had one that lasted almost 3 weeks! When my 1 month supply was finished I talked to another consultant and she said she took the All Day Weight Loss and loved it. I thought I would give it a try because I didn't care for the Phentatrim. I absolutely love the ADWL! I was hardly ever hungry and the nighttime dose helped me sleep at night. I did plateau a couple of times but seemed to bust it pretty quickly. I am in stabilization right now and not taking anything except for flax and my multi and B6. I am considering getting back on the ADWL mostly because of the appetite suppressant and because they helped me sleep.

Also, about the HNS, I hardly ever took the max. I would do 2 - 3 a day. Right now I am in week 5 of stabilization and I take 1 - 2 a day. I enjoy my creamy for a dessert after my dinner.

Good luck and stay strong. It's tough but really worth it!

Take care!
Mel

My center told me you should really limit yourself to 3 packets a day.

NewMe-- I have a question for you!! You are in stabilization now?? How is that going? Ar eyou maintaining at this point, still losing, or gaining? What has been different dietwise, since you went ON stabilization?? How many carbs do you work up to? are you eating less proteing, those kinds of things...IM really just curious, because you hear all the time about how when people get out of ketosis and start eating carbs, they gain the weight back almost immediately!! SCARY SCARY thought!!!!!! I know MRC is different in the approach that those types of foods are gradually reintroduced......Anyway, i am prob only 2 or 3 weeks out from goal at this point, so ive been looking ahead and thinking more and more, and worrying more and more...
