That is amazing! I am so happy for you! What supplements are you taking? Have they measured your inches yet? Keep up the great work and you will be there soon!

Congrats and Way to go! I can't wait to say the same - actually just to be under 200 lbs would be fantastic :0) Keep up the good work.

Default Mini-plateau

Hi Everyone ... just checking in to see how everyone's doing and give an update. Welcome to all the newcomers - this is a great place to find support and info :0)

I hit my first plateau this week, I guess it was more like a mini-plateau because it only lasted 1 week was not as grueling as some have suffered. Anyways, I went for a WI last week and was down .5 lbs in 5 days, alot slower than usual for me but I decided not to worry about and keep plugging on. Next thing I know I started going up - actually gained 1.5 lbs and stayed there for 4 days. I was a little boggled b/c I was completely on plan 100% and had just started exercising last week as well - walking 1 mile a night. I knew I wasn't doing anything wrong or different so I just stuck with it and finally on Friday it started to come down. Went for WI on saturday and was down 3 lbs... whoo hoo - that takes the total to 15.5 lbs lost. It's really happening :0)

I tried 3 new things this week - chocolate pudding, cinnamon crunch bars meal replacement, vanilla wafers Meal replacement bars - they were all awesome. The vanilla wafers were delicious beyond imagination, the pudding is really thick and a great chocolate fix, the cinnamon bar was like getting one of those cinn breakfast cereal bars but very filling. Loved it all and highly recommended!

Hope all of you have a great on-plan week.

Thanks for the congrats! I am super excited! They haven't measured my inches yet, probably next week-- I can only weigh in once a week these days because I am living out of town during the week for my hubby's job and I was in a hurry this past weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing the inches that I've lost! Although I have to admit that the first 4 pounds were probably TOM pounds that would have come off with or without MRC (I just happened to join the day after TOM arrived!)

As far as supplements, I'm only taking the flax, a multivitamin, chromium picc., and the B vitamins. I'm not going to take anything extra unless I get stuck on a major plateau and I may to get things going. I have started walking some, so that probably helps too...

Congrats to all of you and your losses!! I know we can do it!

Congrats to everyone and their wonderful losses!!! I must admit I am envious! I just can't figure out what happens to my body I have a loss and then I don't lose for at least a week!! I think my body just wants to hold onto this weight and refuses to let go without a stuggle. But alas I am encouraged by all the NSV my clothes are all getting loose and some jeans I can no longer wear!

I just wish I could get over the scale not showing a loss ****sigh****

Please send me some will power dust. I've been doing so good and need to stay on track. I'm so close. Only 6 lbs to go b/c I WI yesterday and was at 126! WOOHOO! I'm just 1/2 a lb away from my lowest of 125.5! If I had stayed home today (instead of working with my dad) I would have been OP!
I know you can do it Rocki!! I'm so very proud of you. You have hung in there and really made a committment to reaching your goal. Good luck at your scrab booking retreat and good luck on the job interview - I'm rooting for you!

I was curious if anyone had suggestions on which protein drink flavors to try the first week. They gave me a list of all the choices to choose from and it was a bit overwhelming.

Tara
Welcome Tara! I'm glad you found us. Just try try the different flavors of HNS. I like most of them.

Hang in there. My body fought me hard most of the time. And when my body didn't fight me, the mental challenges kicked in !! Just don't get discouraged. The longer you are on program, the more you learn.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Good luck on all the wi's tomorrow!

Shelby63..Did you use the water requested with just the jello recipe or the water that the MRC jello AND the 3-4 gelatin packs required? You just waited for them to set before you cut them, right? I ended up not going to the movies but I want to try this for a snack anyway.

Pour into a small container and cut in cubes or pour into little button shapes. It would count as one HNS.

Hi Tara, I am new, too. I am super excited about this! I lost 5 lbs on conditioning, and am on day 3 of the beige menu. Now, that does not sound like much, but I assure you, a usually have given up by now. So far, I like the peach mango and the kiwi melon the best. Maybe we can go through this together! I don't know about you, but one of my goals is to get a ticker at the bottom after 30 days!

I'm glad you replied as it's great to have someone to talk to that is new to this as well! Thanks for the flavor suggestions. I go to food class on Friday and I am really curious to see what is on the menu I will start with next week. One of my goals is to get that ticker at the bottom of my profile as well!

they told me to take it 2 pills twice a day between meals...... so i figure i eat about 8 and 1 and 6 and my breaks at work are at 1030 and 330 so i'll just take them then. they said to do that for a week to get straight and then as needed after that so this supply should last me a while. they know i need to conserve money so they're good about telling me stuff like that. the increase to 9 flax a day has already helped.

I'm happy with that per month that's for sure but it's just so expensive i'm afraid if i don't get it done with quickly that i'll run out of money before i get where i'm aiming for. i'm already in a big bind because of my apartment mess and having to move a month earlier and a month before my damn lease is out. it's RIDICULOUS. that's really why i wish i was losing faster but now i'm starting to worry about my skin. i'm just 28 and it's not really ... drawing back up the way i was hoping. if i'm going to be floppy before i'm 30 i'd rather keep some of the weight.......

ME TOOO!! i actually really wish the scale wld show the loss i feel like i've lost! my 16's *not 16w's* that i had leftover from college and high school are getting the saggy butt syndrome but the waist is still fitted so i'm afraid to go down another size to keep my butt from sagging yet but i'll get there. i keep putting on clothes because i don't feel smaller really and then they're falling off. it's a great feeling but the scale just doesn't seem to be keeping up with what my clothes are showing. thursday i was down 27.5 lbs and 26 or so inches total but a bunch of that is in my boobs. i'm still an F cup but i'm down to a 38 F now and my stomach's not keeping up with my boobs I don't wanna be uneven either cuz i've always been proportionately large as i called it....

Default Hi!

Hi everyone! I am new here and new to MRC as well. I just finished precondidtioning and started the beige menu today. Looking for support, advice etc. Also can anyone tell me where to get the weight tracker signature at?

I started at 252 about a year ago and lost to 212 counting calories. I am now doing MRC and down to 208 as of last weigh in.

Wow. I wish I would have asked to switch to the green. On my first time around I had gotten down to 212. I just wasn't budging for over a month. They made me feel like it was my fault. I had been doing everything right up until then. I got sick and then got discouraged. Now I have no one to blame, but myself for the wieght gain, but the $$$ and their discouraging words made it easier to fall off the wagon. This time when I get down that far I will request gpinmg down to the next menu. Thank you for bringing up this topic. I feel empowered now!
Keep up the good work. You all enourage me everyday!

Hey lmickley, I am new too! Only on day 3 of the beige menu, but so far things are really easy! I had made up my mind that THIS WAS IT! I could not stand the way i felt anymore. So then i did TONS of research on the best way to do it. Everything i researched kept coming back to MRC. I feel better than i have in a long time (guess that is eating healthy food and not junk). One of my goals is to get a ticker/.. You can't get one until you have been on here for 30 days. I hope that when i do get one, i can move that little bugger down some! LOL.. I lost 5 lbs on conditioning, and will weigh again after a week of this. You, Tara and I are all new, so we can support each other, with wise guidance from these other ladies who are SO inspirational with their success stories and cool advice!

I sure need some advice, please. I do not really like very many veggies.. I like green beans, lettuce, most peas and beans (and of course corn and potatoes-a no no). I am struggling big time to learn to tolerate some other ones. Can anyone else relate, and have you come up with any other solutions??
