So I have this question. My main problem right now is in my stomach, the bottom part. Well of course Cortitrim is being suggested to me, but I am not paying 75.00 for any 30 day pill. I just can not do it with the other expenses. Is there an OTC Cortitrim? Does it really work?? Any suggestions. Thanks guys, and Happy Monday to all
Congrats on the lbs. down!! You're doing awesome! I always got more inspired the more I lost also. I didn't want to cheat on anything to stop the weightloss!

I'll be gone on a church retreat from Thursday to Saturday night so I'm facing the same dilema as you. I'm taking bars for my lunches and I'm hoping that they will have eggs for breakfast. I'll just have to do my best for dinners though. When I went on a retreat in November, I took along boiled eggs because you don't even have to refrigerate those, cheese and bars and that helped a lot! I love the bars anyway and look forward to eating them. The chocolate cereal and chocolate mint are my favs!

I've been reading through the messages and wow, it's great to hear that so many people are succeeding with this program. It's also a relief to know that I'm not the only one getting a bit frustrated. Or that has a super-skinny, super-perky girl with the empathy of a rock...

I signed the 5lb board on Saturday, just before Easter and the chocolate bunnies hit. *sigh* I'm dreading tonight's WI so much I'm considering putting it off 'til tomorrow. >,> I have to go food shopping anyway, and if I go too late, I'll be tempted to buy things I shouldn't.

I also have a question...Can anyone explain to me how it's ok to eat cheese but not drink milk on this diet? I'm dying for some yogurt right about now.

I'm on day two of the yellow menu. I'm really worried that I'm not eating enough. Of course I'm eating just as the menu says (weighing everything out very carefully) and I'm keeping track of my food via fitday.com (which I've been doing for over 5 years now). I only ate just over 1,000 calories yesterday. That doesn't seem very healthy. Everything I've ever read says a woman shouldn't eat less than 1200 calories a day. PLUS, I work out a lot still. I cut back my workout per instructions from MRC but I still work out 45-50 minutes a day (25 min hard cardio, 20-25 min weights). Well, with my workout yesterday I probably burned AT LEAST 300 calories, but probably more like 450.

I felt horrible last night and I feel worse today. My head hurts so much and I'm dizzy. Every time I stand up I get that blood rushing black-out thing happening (like when you stand up or get up too quick...). And it's EVERY TIME I stand up. I go in to the center today for a WI and to get my next menu because I'm traveling Thursday-Monday. I'll bring it up with them but it really scares me the way I feel right now.

Did anyone else feel like this when they started?

I have a question, I have the beige menu from when I joined two years ago, is it possible you can share the pre conditioning menu with me?
s morton @ bcgov .net
Thanks!
I didn't have a preconditioning menu. I was told to get into the habit of eating three meals a day and to try to make them healthy meals, drink my 64 oz of water and start taking a daily vitamin. That was IT. I did that for 11 days before I started the beige menu but that's only cuz she said she was trying to give me an extra few days to lose a little more and get used to it so she sent me to food class one week later than she wld have otherwise so I'd just do that for a week and then pick a Monday or something and jump right in with your menu and drinks.

*I added spaces to your email address to keep the trolls from getting it and putting you on the junk mail lists. You might want to do that in your original post as well. *

When I went in last week I checked on the choc cereal bars *my brand new fave also!!!* and they said they had 1 box left because they were going to DC them but they thought that enough people said no that they were going to keep them. I really HOPE that they keep them!!

I wld say something FOR SURE about it. You shouldn't feel that way and that's probably why they told you to cut back on your exercise for a while. They might tell you to go to your new menu early or just bump you straight up to the green menu where you'll stay till you hit goal. My friend wasn't having that problem but she was losing way to fast the first time she went in and they told her to skip the blue menu completely and she still lost 50 lbs in 3 months which is A LOT. I only got dizzy a couple times on my menu, *started on beige* at the beginning but that's stopped now and I didn't get dizzy at all when I started the green menu. Don't let them give you an answer that doesn't set well with you either. Make them come up with something you're comfortable with or think will work.

GOOD LUCK!!

Hey Jennifer,
I forgot you lived so close but thankfully it cleared up today turned out to be the perfect evening. We all had a healthy dinner (LOL, what else?), relaxed for about 1/2 hr, downloaded the Robert Ullrey C25K podcast for week 1 and then went for it - I posted all about it on the MRC C25K area. It was actually great!! Can't wait to hear about you too

dla,
Running a 10K would be so amazing ... you have so much ambition and I love it! I am so excited for you and who knows, maybe I'll get up the guts to committ to a 10 K by the end of the year as well, right now I am almost too scared to imagine it. It's funny, I am a person with great ambition and initiative professionally, but for some reason personally I am so stagnant sometimes, often afraid to commit to this very thing - losing weight and exercising. I made up my mind to lose the weight but it took me 8 years of being 100 lbs overweight to finally just put my mind to and and go for it. And exercise, I was lurking on the C25K forum for months before finally just saying - what are you so scared of? Failing I guess. I guess with my professional life everything is so sure, I feel so confident in what I do b/c I know I'll be good at it but when it comes to the other, I guess I just don't want to disappoint myself again. But I've realized it's no different, I can do anything I want to if I just put my mind to it! So, this is it - I've made up my mind, I'm doing it!! I did my first run tonight and posted all about it on the MRC c25k forum. Let us know how your doing with yours soon too. Good luck, I'm rooting for you

When I started I felt really bad the first couple of days too. I saw a segment on the today show about when you start a new eating program and the first few days are really strict that you're going to feel bad because a lot of toxins are being released. I remember the first week my muscles were really achy but after about day 7 I felt better and now I feel better than I have ever have. Your calories go up on the next menu - most likely blue and then day 11 you start green and the calories go up a little more. I would def bring it up but also realize it's not for very long. Maybe with the exercise you're doing add another high nutrient supplement if you're not already hitting the max.

I just want to say that I LOVE this site and am very new to this whole program, began pre-conditioning on 4/9 and am down 5lbs so far. It's really inspiring to be able to read from all the experienced veterans your trials and triumphs and to hopfully know that I'll be able to post and get replies/support when I need it!!

I've posted this question in a couple other threads, but wanted to post it here too in case some users dont' check those. I go to my food instruction class on 4/24 and am REALLY apprehensive about how my diet will change even further than it already has. Can anyone enlighten me as to what to expect out of the first menu, other than adding the HNS supplements?

I also bought all the pills the recommended (I'm such a sucker), MRC-6, MSM, Coritrim, All Day Weight Loss and am afraid that if I stop any of them my loss may stall too, but I know I definitely can't afford all of these EVERY month as well! I definitely have heard from a couple of co-workers that the MRC-6 is 'lypo in a bottle.' I have to admit that I'm not all that hungry. If I am, I'll get like 2 crackers just to get past it or chew a piece of gum or drink some water. My worst time is of the evening about 9-9:30. I think part of it is still that I ALWAYS ate something b/t 8-9 like cookies or something sweet and that was just my habit. It feels so empowering to tell myself 'you're not hungry so don't eat."

Your diet will really change when you get that first menu. If you get the yellow one it's insanely restricting but I just told myself you can do anything for 4 days. The next menu is even better and then the green menu - the last one til stabilization is even better. What I was shocked by though is even not eating that much in terms of calories I wasn't hungry because you'll eat a lot of high density low calorie foods so you'll get full. You will probably get really sick of veggies because you have to eat a lot the first 10 days and then you get to cut it down a little more on day 11 and not have as many. Just be prepared that it's going to be hard and just keep telling yourself I can do anything for 4 days.

It will depend which menu they start you out on. Judging from your current weight you may start out on beige which wouldn't be much different than what you are likely doing now. If you start on yellow then it is totally different. I believe that 200 pounds is the menu change weight.
