I'm scheduled to lose 30 lbs in 8-10 weeks but now I only have 20 to go so I think I'm going to be through this program faster than I thought (and hoped!).
As I mentioned, I went to my first class yesterday and got my first menu. I'm a little scared and intimidated. It doesn't seem like very much food at all (yellow menu). I start the menu Monday. I'm taking all the recommended pills and will be drinking 4 of the supplements. Will I be hungry? I'm so worried I'm going to be hungry.
Also, I'm traveling for work this coming Thursday-Monday. Lunch is going to be really difficult on Thursday as I'll be on Day 4 of Meta-Slim yellow menu. I have a 10:30 flight which lands around 11:30 am but I'm not the one in charge of the car so I go where others go. Any suggestions on what to do about lunch? Also, I'm looking for suggestions on ordering at restuarants on this program. I'll be eating at restaurants for 2 of my 3 meals each day. I'm really nervous but I'm so committed to get through this without falling off program. I haven't sneaked one single thing in that was off program for the last 8 days. If I can do it for 8 days I can do it for 70 days!

I have ended up eating out a LOT on this plan. I don't ask them to not use certain things in the prep but most places (except some mexican restaurants) have a grilled chicken salad that you can pick out what's not on plan like carrots or if you've already had your cheese for the day you can ask for no cheese, that's not uncommon. I've found most places have carrots in their salad mix so they can't really take them out but they're easy enough to avoid. Even McDonalds has a salad that you can modify. Bacon Chicken Ranch salad w/o the bacon and ranch - they will look at you funny - works if you can stand to eat it dry or take a spritzer with you. Chinese buffets are harder because there's really not much protein on plan there but there is a salad and if you do it for lunch and have a bar for protein & fruit then you're good to go. I try to carry one with me in case of emergencies like that. Also, I've broken the rules as far as the bars for the week and day before because it's better that you eat something than eat nothing. I have done both with no noticeable difference except in my crankiness when I go without...
Good luck and stick around. There's a lot of good info and on plan type cheats these people know

Thanks so much you guys! It is so important to me to know that you are out there, have been through it, and honestly care about all us newbies. You have such awesome advice, and whenever i get tired, i read your posts and look at your tickers and say.. Oh..HECK YEA!!!
I have one problem coming up.. I am going with my family to the Scarborough Renaissance Faire this weekend in Dallas, I am SUPER nervous, because there will not be hardly if any OP food. I had thought of doing a planned cheat, but i sure hate to mess anything up. The Renfest is one of my fave things, and the food is part of it.. What do ya'll think for me at this stage????

In my opinion...from experience...the planned cheat is a slippery slope. You may be able to pull it off successfully, but will you be able to keep yourself from doing it over and over?
Are you going to be gone all weekend or just a single day? Can you pack a cooler and eat OP? I have found some vacuum packed chicken that doesn't need to be refrigerated that you can use for your protein and you can take raw veggies and fruit. That will take care of lunch. You can do a bar for breakfast.
Remember that the festival isn't about the food and you will enjoy it more if you are not stressing out about the food to choose from...if at all possible...take your own.

I don't have any..And you are right, i have not cheated for a single second so far (that is a lifetime record for me) and if i start now, who knows.. Thank you!!! I am sure gonna try, i will let you know how it works out!

Weigh In
Hi all,
Well I went for weigh in and wah lah since friday down 1.5 lbs. I am pretty stoked. Picking up speed and believing in myself more and more. I went to drop my daughter off at a friends house and she said wow you are losing weight aren't you! I was like why Thank you . Every little bit helps.
So I have this question. My main problem right now is in my stomach, the bottom part. Well of course Cortitrim is being suggested to me, but I am not paying 75.00 for any 30 day pill. I just can not do it with the other expenses. Is there an OTC Cortitrim? Does it really work?? Any suggestions. Thanks guys, and Happy Monday to all

First I must say congratulations on your 4 pound loss!! That is great that you broke your plateau!! I have NEVER lost 4 pounds at any time so I am envious!!
Second.....enjoy your weekend and try not to think alot about the food. I find by bringing a cooler with me I can bring some quick meals such as chicken, or turkey and throw it in a salad. I make huge dishes of cabbage slaw with apple cider vinegar...trevels real well. I also use the bars and the shakes. My daughter turned me on to EAS carb advantage shakes and I love them ....2 of them equal the same amount as 1 MRC shake!
So go and have a good time.

On one of the threads here it says to Cortislim is the same as cortitrim I got 3 bottles for 20 dollars on Ebay and I have been taking that......it has the same ingredients does it work??? My waist has gone down 8 inches...not sure if it is the diet or the pills!

I have the same problem, the bottom part of my stomach. Two months ago I was debating about spending the money on cortitrim, but it is a little pricey, so I decided to try relacore instead. I am not sure if it has the same ingredients but it is supposed to reduce cortisol levels and its only $20. The first month I took it (I started right after I got measured) I had lost only an inch...but I kept taking it and this month I lost 3 inches off my stomach. I can't say how much of it is because of the pills, or how much of it is the diet. I also take MRC6.

I have almost lost 70 pounds, but I'm not quite to my halfway point.
Tonight I am going to restart the C25K program. I want to be at a point where I can do a 10K in mid-September. In order to do that I need to be able to do a 5K first!!
Hope you are all having a good day!

Hey dla,
I'm with you... my hubby and I were just looking at the C25K program and planning when we should start ... probably later this week if the weather decides to clear up - we're currently drenched in heavy rain. Good luck and let me know how it's going.

I just googled cortislim and came up with an FTC suit against them for false claims..... http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2005/09/windowrock.shtm
I was so hoping it wld work but it appears to be just as bogus as the rest of the quick fixes. And to think, MRC is selling the same crap at 10 x's the price and no one's said a thing to them.... *sigh*

My actual goal is to do a 10K with one of the counselors at my center in September so I have a couple of different training programs that I will be working on. I have it all mapped out...I'm really good with planning NOT so good with execution!!

Hi Connie,
It is so encouraging to see someone start in the 200's and is now in the 100's.
I have a question, I have the beige menu from when I joined two years ago, is it possible you can share the pre conditioning menu with me?
[email protected]
Thanks!
