Default Hi all

Hi all,
Well first, I wanted to say I am still here. I fell off on a depression wagon. I am having some personal problems with my daughter who will be 10 and all I can say is I am finally finding strength. I had a few alcoholic beverages and wah lah, stalled big time. But I am proud to say I am back on track 100% and even though I had a small stall, I fit into a new size of jeans! YES! So after 37 days I am down 15 lbs. My husband had to leave again, sigh, gotta love the military life--- or not Any way, I am here and appreciate all the support I can get ty all!

Hi Rocki...you are so right, we are just 2 peas in a pod. I feel like I'm reading my life story when I read yours! Anyway...it sounds like changing the goal was a good idea. You really seemed stressed. The good news is that by focusing on the final 5, we are at least maintaining and not adding any extra weight. Not how the plan is meant to work, but I'll take it

Looking forward to the day when we both have met our goal of 125lbs.

I know it seems like it takes forever, but if you just take one day at a time, you'll be there before you know it! The plateaus are the pits! I just went through one myself but then I dropped 3.5 lbs. the next week. Usually there is a nice drop at the end so there is something positive about them.
I cant believe how many people on here go to the Bellevue Center. I usually go on Tuesday and Friday afternoons around 430. I do go to the Turbo Jam classes. Do you go to any of the classes? Thank you so much for the encouraging words about the plateaus. This is my third one in 2.5 months, but I lose 4 pounds after the other two...so I just keep that in mind.

Have a nice evening (even though it is raining!)

Monday Update..

I WI this morning and was down a pound like I had hoped. I'm very happy with that b/c I had a few drinks and snacks and ate WAY off plan all weekend and still managed to lose a pound. Phheeeewwww! Now, I have 4 weeks to lose 5 pounds. That's achievable and I know I can do it. I'm doing Meta Quick this week just to get back on track. I usually don't last more than 3-4 days on it but that's better than nothing. Today I had a shake for breakfast, a bar for lunch and chicken/cucumbers and 50 calorie flat bread for dinner. I took most of my herbs/vitamins and now I need to get my HNSs and water back up there!

I hope you all have a GREAT week!

Default Just out of curiosity...

Question for everyone: when do you take your vitamins/MRC 6/flax etc? I was told by a nice and knowledgeable worker at the Health food store this weekend that the ingredients in MRC-6 and Cortitrim are only beneficial if taken about 1/2 hr before meals. Oops... I've been taking it w/ and sometimes forget and will take it 1/2-1 hr later... hmmm ...Since hearing this I decided to try taking them 1/2 hr before meals instead (as best as one can manage this due to life). I'll let you know if the results are different but I was just curious, when do you all take yours?

Also, good news, down 18.5 lbs total. Yeah!!

Default Hello.

I am trying to convince myself to start this program. I am from Boston and there are no center here. That is the only thing that is an issue with me. I would have loved to be able to go to center and do it in person. But I think I am going to call a center either in GA or FL and get started.
What are your thoughts on doing this program over the phone? I appreciate your thoughts.

I dunno if this is the place for this question, but...is it normal to have a constant brain-splitting headache when you first start this program? I see no reason to drink decaff Coke/coffee so I quit cold turkey last week during the pre-conditioning, so I was expecting a headache, for a day or two. I'm only on my second day of the actual plan (yellow menu) and I'm still hitting the 8 pill per day limit for Advil intake. I don't know how much my poor abused liver can take, tbh, so I'm a tad worried.

I went in last night, got the crabby girl again *damn* and she started trying to tell me that I dropped below the 3 lb a week avg. I told her that it appears that way due to their monkey math *I think she didn't like me calling it that* when in all actuality I've been around 2.5 the entire time. She looked at me like I lost my mind. I explained that math is what I do and they're not using a true mathematical average by counting the lbs lost during preconditioning and NOT counting the time it took to lose those lbs. She proceeded to try to imply that I didn't know what I was talking about because she's a math major and I said then she SHOULD understand with a big emphasis on should. *sigh* she keeps pushing exercise and I told her I think moving an entire apartment in two days is enough exercise for one week. She can kiss my bright white A$$. What she doesn't understand about me is that if you try to make me feel inferior when I KNOW what I'm talking about, not just have a good idea like I've never done the math myself, I'm giong to dig in a stick to my guns not cave and crater and be all you're so right and I'm so wrong. I KNOW doing MORE exercise wld help but I'm not interested. My numbers were GOOD at 260 lbs. I'm active, constantly moving, going going going all the damn time and just because I don't go specifically walk around a damn track for 30 mins and accomplish NOTHING ELSE that I NEED to be accomplishing doesn't mean I'm not getting in my activity. I've got too much stuff to do to waste time moving my feet and doing nothing else. Plain and simple.... The other girls, if they think I'm full of sh($, then they haven't said. I think the MANAGER that I spoke to thinks I'm getting enough exercise, either that or she was too busy laughing to contradict me. *shrug* There's only giong to be so long that I can blow her attitude off before I lay into her though and that's why I'm STILL considering switching up my days that I go in or just start going in on Thursdays only since I know she's there sometimes but usually I get one of the other girls.

*Sigh* So I had a chicken quesadilla on Friday that was WAY off plan. It was one of those frozen microwaveable smart choice things with WAY too much sodium but I still lost .5 so I guess it didn't DESTROY the plan. *shrug*

Good luck everyone with a great OP week!!!

Well "crabby girl" has a triplet then b/c there is one at my office. I think she has gotten a clue that I don't like her much. The last time I was in she tried taking me to my weigh in and I actually asked if a certain counselor was working and asked for them.

I am happy today. I was feeling a bit down, tired and burnt out of the food and was soooo tempted to cheat tonight. But I didn't and I still went for my WI and I am down 1.5 lbs since Friday. Not too bad considering I had a bit of an upset stomach Friday and thought I was coming down with the stomach flu and went off plan and had tomoto soup with Acini de Pepi pasta in it. So I guess it didn't kick me too far off plan. AND they were having a food cooking class tonight and I tried so new "receipes" that are going to SAVE ME. They did this YUMMY thing with the vanilla pudding, walden farms peanut butter spread and choc. pudding on top and OMG it was like a peanut butter cup. I also learned how to make a pizza that my 5 year old couldn't get enough of. I feel much better tonight. I am getting ready to jump on the treadmill and I am so releaved I didn't cave. YEAH.

So how did they make this peanut butter cup thing. Was it just the vanilla pudding, WF peanut butter spread and chocolate pudding layered? Sound really good!

Karen, I have figured out that if I set the alarm on my cell phone 30 minutes to my normal eathing times that it reminds me to take them early enough that they should be doing the job they are expected to do! I had hit a big plateau and was really getting discouraged, so the center suggested the all day weight loss system, I hope to see a difference this weekend when I weigh in. I do believe that the supplements play a big part in the loss. Good luck on adjusting your time of taking yours, hope we both get to post good numbers on our next weigh ins! Huggers!!
