Welcome Missy! I am new to the site as well and I just attended food class this morning. One of the things that was shared with us today is the inevitability of plateaus. My best advice is to stay positive and OP to bust right through it in the coming weeks!

You are so awesome!!! Five lbs. in one week....WOW! You'll be in Onederland before you know it!
Good job and yes one more week on the menu won't hurt! I'm amazed at seeing the pounds come off during stabilization. I sooo enjoy the fruit at lunch and the carb at lunch! I do have to be careful b/c I can already tell which carbs are triggers.

y'all have great on plan weekends. i'm waiting to get my computer set up at home so i might not be on till i get back to work next week.
Hi Connie! It is great that you did not gain any this week with what you have been going through! You are awesome girl and you will lose big next week once you get all your stuff unpacked and get settled in your new place. Keep up the good work and Good Luck on Monday with your WI! I'm leaving town in the morning, going to see my boyfriend who lives 7 hours away, I am so excited! I haven't seen him in 2 months....he will be surprised when he sees me almost 25 lbs lighter! LOL! Take care and enjoy your weekend!

I'm hoping to get into the 150's during stabilization and I'm afraid I won't lose much with adding in the extra carbs. They said I would lose another 6 lbs. or so during stabilization but I'm really skeptical because of my carb sensitivity. I should trust them though because I felt the same way when they told me I could lose 72lbs. in 6 months and here I am 73 lbs. lighter Oh well, one more week won't hurt anything that's for sure! Good luck to everyone on their WI's this weekend!

WOW! You are doing awesome! 3.5 in one week is great when you are so close to goal! I agree with you on waiting for stablization, we talked about it yesterday at WI and I said I wanted to wait at least until I finished program next week, I only signed up for 10 weeks and I am still 6.5 away from my goal, I would like to be a little closer, I'm carb sensitive too. Have a great weekend....take care!

Hi Tara! 3 lbs in 4 days is a great start! You are doing wonderful! I enjoy my breakfast but I don't get real creative mostly due to time, I have that pesky job that starts at 8 am....lol! I usually scramble a couple of eggs or boil a couple and have them either with melba toast or Natures Own Double Fiber Wheat Bread or La Tortilla Factory Whole Wheat Tortilla, sometimes I don't have time for eggs so I buy hard cheese and cut it into 2 oz pieces and put them in snack baggies in the fridge and will have cheese with melba toast or bread or tortilla. I have made the "mock snickerdoodles" that are in the recipe thread, those are wonderful, I have them about twice a week. Good luck and hope you have a great OP weekend! Take care!

I went to WI yesterday and was only down 1 lb since last week, I have been slacking on the working out and I know I need to crack down it's just that life and work have been getting in the way of me having time for me.....I am going to visit my boyfriend this weekend and I hope to come back energized and ready to finish up program and start stabilization in a couple of weeks.....only 6.5 from center goal but 11.5 from my personal goal. April will be great for me and for all of you too!! Have a wonderful weekend, I sure will!

Hi All,

I'm finishing up day 3 on plan, now if I don't do anything silly, I'll be back in ketosis! The scale is back to 131, so no permanent damage from the trip to S.F. I'm just taking 1 day at a time and hopefully can say bye bye to the final 5lbs by the end of April.

I have found eggs and toast or cheese toast to be the easiest for me. There is also a really good cheesecake recipe in the cookbook (and I think on the recipe thread) that makes enough for four mornings. I have also made the turkey sausage into 1 oz. patties and that seems to work as well.

Good luck!

My favorite for breakfast is a low carb tortilla with grated cheese and grill it, it's a quesadilla. It is pretty filling and with my HNS it normally holds me up until lunchtime. For lunch I normally do pineapple chunks with cottage cheese and then sliced cucumbers with brocolli. I know I need to switch around otherwise boredom sets in. But so far, so good. I am really tired of chicken,,,,,,,,anything but chicken right now. LOL

I've gone the right direction but over the last 3 months I think I've averaged only like 1.6lbs per week. Still down, which is good, but I'm concerned if I stay at this pace I may have to buy more weeks of the program which will start to add up financially.

I have never taken any of the metabollic enhancers because I'm on blood thinners and it seems like everything you do interacts with those. I am wondering if anyone else is on blood thinners and have used any of the enhancers and had luck? Curious to know if they affected your INR when tested

Thanks,
Cari
WOW...Congrats on signing that board. That is a HUGE accomplishment and I only hope I can be as successful.

CONGRATULATIONS...I am still on beige menu but I have about 8 lbs to lose before I am under 200 and I can't wait. By the way, I love reading your posts, you always seem really upbeat and inspirational.

I do a french toast thing in the morning. I am on the beige menu so I can have 2 eggs. I whisk them up sprinkle in some ground cinnamon and 1 packet of splenda and then Nature's Own has a low-fat 40 calorie per slice wheat bread and I soak the bread on both sides for a few minutes to soak up the egg mixture and then I cook in frying pan slightly above med. It's not too bad. I also invested in the Walden Farms syrup and put a little bit of that on it. They syrup is sugar free, carb free, calorie free (but I could only find it online at Walden Farms website).

I went to WI last night, down .5 lbs, so I only lost 2 lbs this week. I felt so bad though. The past few days my stomach has been upset and I have been barely able to choke down lunch and dinner and last night I felt so yucky I couldn't even tolerate the thought of cooking up 6 oz of protein and veggies so for the first time I went off plan and had soup. Then felt really ill after. I don't know if it was from the overload of carbs or from this nasty stomach bug going around. I know it is taking me out of "fat burn" for 3 days but if I was getting sick I really wanted my tomato soup. So today I feel a bit better and I am going to get back OP today. Happy weekend to all.

You can get really creative with cottage cheese too. I will throw it in the blender with a chocolate pudding and decaf coffee granules for a creamy smoothie, mix it with Pineapple HNS for the sweet tooth. Another yummy comfort food is to microwave cheese until it's melted and scoop up with melba toast - tastes too good to be a diet!

Thanks so much!! I can't believe it's been 6 months already! It really has gone fast. I think the holidays helped speed things up a bit for me with all the activity. Don't give up on your goal! If you just stay on program one meal or one day at a time, you'll get through it. I just kept telling myself that it wasn't worth cheating if I had to torture myself one more day than necessary on this diet! Not the most encouraging kind of pep talk for myself, but it kept me on program most days. I really thought through whether it was worth it to cheat and most times I'd decide not to. I guess that's why I picked my screen name....I just felt I had to keep on keepin on and I'd make it to the end. You can do it too!!

Default Only 2 Months Till J-Day

I haven't been on for a bit but I have been trying to hang on to the life change, I lost 20 pounds the first month but have only lost 4 in the last two! A total of 24 pounds down and 26 3/4" gone. I think I started relaxing on program. My situation is that my boyfriend just booked us a trip to Jamaica on June 5th for an entire week of beach and fun. I have 38 pounds to go to meet my goal and I know I will not make that by my contract end on May 1st but plan on extending till I do meet my goal. I think if I start coming back on here every day maybe I can get closer to it by June 5th, at least that is my goal now! I know it helps me seeing everyone's success's and lets me know it can be done as long as I hang in here! Huggers to everyone and hope to be on here alot more often!!

I had a major test this weekend! I went down to my Mom and Dad's for the weekend. Now, my Mom is the Best cook ever and makes amazing pies. She was so great, though and only had food I could eat. It was difficult, but I stayed OP all weekend!!
