Hi ahobbs, I am in LR and we don't have a center, so it is harder. I do it by email and phone and she sends me my supplies by mail. It would be so cool to be able to go in and meet people who are going through the same thing.

I get the Old El Paso brand low Sodium in the mexican food section at both Walmart and HyVee. I don't think I've ever seen the other brand.

I signed the 70lb board today. YEAH!! But I've been struggling mentally with the slowness of it lately. I've never averaged 3lbs or over a week weight loss but since Christmas, I've really, really slowed down and I've been getting a little frustrated because I have been OP except for an isolated instance or two. I've gone the right direction but over the last 3 months I think I've averaged only like 1.6lbs per week. Still down, which is good, but I'm concerned if I stay at this pace I may have to buy more weeks of the program which will start to add up financially.
I have never taken any of the metabollic enhancers because I'm on blood thinners and it seems like everything you do interacts with those. I am wondering if anyone else is on blood thinners and have used any of the enhancers and had luck? Curious to know if they affected your INR when tested
Thanks,
Cari

My exercise is good I think, in fact the center had me cut back some time in January. I walk/bike/elliptical 30 minutes at least 4 times per week. I am rejoining the gym this weekend to do some much needed toning so i think that could slow things down for a couple of weeks while my body adjusts.

Congrats on the 70lb board!!!! You're doing awesome! I've really slowed down lately too. It can be discouraging but it seems like if we just stick through it, we'll show a loss eventually. I think I'm down about 2.5 for this week. I'll know soon enough when I go weigh in. I'll let you know after

well i did go ahead and go in last night to WI and i stayed the same. it doesn't surprise me really with the stress of moving and trying to plan meals around that. i told her about the egg and cheese burrito yesterday morning when i got lightheaded and told her i skipped protein and fruit at lunch trying to trade off and she said in that circumstance i did the best i cld. i think we both think it was just lack of sleep combined with missing my veggies the night before and stress that made me woozy. the move is nearly done which leaves the unpacking which is a PITA but not NEAR as stressful.
i've decided i'm not cleaning that apartment at all since i didn't pay a deposit anyway. if they try to call me on it i'll just tell them i'm sure city codes enforcement wld like the pictures of the plumbing repair job that's so against code it cld cost their maintenance man his license and possibly shut down the complex with the rest of what's wrong with that apt!!! i'll leave it up to them at that point and bet they'll back down. i'm just STOKED to not be sleeping in a place that smells like sewer!!!
y'all have great on plan weekends. i'm waiting to get my computer set up at home so i might not be on till i get back to work next week.

Hi everyone! I am new to the site! I started my MRC menu (beige) on 3/8/08... and lost 6 pounds the first week, and another 3 pounds the 2nd week. I have not seen a loss this week... but have stayed OP... so maybe its that pesky plateau that some hit after the first few weeks! So anyways... I am glad I came across this site! It seems that you guys do a great job at keeping each other motivated! Can't wait until I can get one of those cute counters!!!

Welcome!!!! You are off to an awesome start! Hang in there during the plateau and you'll see a nice loss. I just came off of a plateau too. They're a pain but we all go through them. Congrats on the 9 lbs. so far!

Down 3 1/2 at WI today......broke that short plateau. They said I could start week 1 of stabilization but I asked if I could wait until next Friday instead. I just felt like I needed an extra week and wanted to be alittle closer to my goal first. I'm hoping to get into the 150's during stabilization and I'm afraid I won't lose much with adding in the extra carbs. They said I would lose another 6 lbs. or so during stabilization but I'm really skeptical because of my carb sensitivity. I should trust them though because I felt the same way when they told me I could lose 72lbs. in 6 months and here I am 73 lbs. lighter Oh well, one more week won't hurt anything that's for sure! Good luck to everyone on their WI's this weekend!

I finished pre-conditioning and attended food class today. I dropped three pounds during that four days! Looks like I am on the green menu and I'm feeling pretty confident with the choices on this menu. The only one that will be a major adjustment is breakfast. Right now I have no idea what it is that I will be eating for a protein and starch for breakfast in the morning. I think it's going to be time to search for recipes/ideas and get creative!
