Also do you still drink a HNS with them? Thanks in advance. You guys are a wealth of information.

Mix with 16 ounces of cold water; you can add flavoring extract if desired. You do have a regular HNS still, but can't have a creamy the same day as a shake or meal bar. I think you can have them 3 times a week. (someone correct me if I'm wrong...). The thing I like about shakes is you can have them for any meal, where as the bars you can have for only lunch or dinner.

Stephanie - I LOVE the shakes! I put 8 ice cubes in the blender, then the mix and 2 cups (16oz) of water...blend and drink drink. It comes out to like 24-26oz of drink when I do it this way and its very filling. Try it a couple different ways and find what you like. I thought you could only do them 2x a week though...might wanna check with the center I suppose
SpringfieldAmy - I totally just noticed that you're in Spfld, Mo. I went to college there, so shout out to you down south

SpringfieldAmy, hang in there. We have all been there before. At least you have had a chance to reflect and rework in your mind how to keep on track, and that's finding a silver lining!
WI today. I actually managed to lose 1 lb over the holiday...and it was a BIG football weekend here too, so there was also tailgating to contend with, and lots of friends offering me a little bit of this or that.
Thursday is my 'celebration' and I have the happy problem of picking out something to wear for my "After" picture...I'm also taking my former 'thin' jeans, which were Chico's, stretchy and a size 2.5 (you know how they size). I've GOT to get my hands on a flash drive to up load a picture of the jeans! It's just a shocker to me...

donuts, donuts, donuts.....No falling and definitely no mashed potatoes for me!!! Had a 1 lb gain the week before Thanksgiving ...but WI'd last Wednesday and lost 1/2 pound....WI today and lost 1.5 lbs!!! Got the 3 free weeks added to my program. Planned ahead for Thanksgiving....I contributed the turkey, green beans & green salad to make sure I stayed on plan.
Went to the beach after T-Day for the weekend...shopping was great!! Only had dial-up at the condo so I didn't get online too much. Oh, boy did I have a lot of catching up to do when I got home!!! TAKE 6 and several pages already full!!!
Love my Gazelle!!! Just need to use it more often....all the chatter is getting me motivated!
ShineOn ~ your motorcycle pic is great! Hope you have a good time on the cruise! Stay away from the Chocolate Buffet!! I leave on Dec 20 and I'm hoping to drop 12.5 lbs before I leave...that would put me at a total loss of 50 pounds!! BTW..we are at the same weight! Just need to get serious...can't have you getting ahead of me!!
Nan11 ~ What time is your celebration on Thursday? I would love to stop by and see you!!!
Congrats to everyone with pounds down over Thanksgiving! I know it was hard....but what a great accomplishment....WTG!!! Makes you feel good!!!!!

Windy, thanks for the information on the supplements... how many HNS do you take per day? The HNS sounds like it is the most important part of the supplements? I feel like such a pill hog and my credit card is billed hundreds each month so I'm trying to find the most important. I'm ready to place the next order with my center for:
HNS
Corti-trim
MRC-6
Multi
The MRC-6 sounds like this is one supplement you dont want to give up.
Congratulations to all of you that have worked so hard... I admire all of you and your will power and it has inspired me to start back at the beginning with the yellow menu. Is it really only the first 3 - 5 days that you go into fat burning mode?
Thank you to everyone!

alexiah- It's worth every penny! The food is your own, not premade. You eat low, fat, low carb, fresh foods (no canned or processed foods). Ask a lot of questions before you sign the contract, and GOOD LUCK!

SpringfieldAmy - Relaying your "off plan" experience speaks volumes of wisdom learned. Thanks so much for being brave enough to share what so many of us have experienced some time in our life.
I wanted to say something about "Perfection". I remember a long time ago (probably in my 20's) when I was doing a very restrictive diet. I tried my best to be perfect. What I didn't know is that I was setting myself up for failure. I felt soooooo deprived, that when I caved in to my cravings, I binged like there was no tomorrow. I would then beat myself up and eventually give up.
Trying to be perfect on a diet leads to feelings of rebellion and resentment towards that diet.
I have now learned to be kinder to myself. I don't concentrate on being perfect anymore. I concentrate on making better choices one day at a time. So now I never feel deprived. I have lived a poor lifestyle for many years, so I need to be patient with myself as I try to live a healthier lifestyle each day.

jant - Yay you're OK
Sorry to hear about your WI beating, but hey, you're down 0.5 lb overall. By golly that's a FISTFULL of FAT
I finally have a Gazelle workout buddy. Yes, I mean you! Next to MRC, my Gazelle has been the best investment for my health.
Thanks to you, I eat fish on a regular basis. I think it's time for another fish eatin' week. How much weight can you lose eating fish at least once a day?
I created a yummy fish recipe that my whole family loves. I don't really measure anything, but basically I use Tilapia (White Fish), about 1/2 cup ground Wasa crackers (ground Melba toast would also work), 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb to taste, and about 1-2 TBLS Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing (Dry Powder). I soak the fish in a bowl of cold water. I mix the dry ingredients in a large ziplock bag. I coat 1 fish at a time in the coating mixture. I take 2-3 fillets and fry them in a skillet using 1 TBLS of olive oil on slightly higher than medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. It's so good I feel like I'm cheating
4-6 oz serving = 4-6 oz Protein Group 1 (I usually don't count the coating as a starch.) I do count 1 tsp of oil per 4-6 oz of fish.

If I were to start cutting back on what I take I would take only MRC6 and the HNS. The HNS are required, and the MRC6 works wonders! I was already taking flax, coq10, and a multivitamin prior to signing up. The HNS really help for in between meals also. I have 4 per day according to my menu, and drink them in between meals to help keep me full and keep me from snacking.
You are in fat burning mode all the time! If you eat off plan then it takes your body 3-5 days to get back into it again.
Welcome back JANT and NAN11!! Glad to hear you had a great holiday weekend!!

Hi Diana,
It was absolutely worth the $$ to me - for me, the money I spent is a big part of my long-term accountability. I delayed going to MRC for awhile because of the cost, but eventually realized I needed structure & accountability, and MRC provided both for me.
I will say this - you also have to be mentally ready to do this - to stick with the plan & let go of the weight. Until you are, no plan will work for you.
Basically yes, it's low fat, low salt, low glycemic. As others have pointed out, it's real food. There are shakes & bars available but they don't want you to use too many of them, they want you to eat real, fresh or frozen whole foods. It's a pretty balanced plan. You can keep the cost down by buying most of your supplements elsewhere (vitamins, flax oil, etc).
Good luck with your decision - if you sign up, come back here for support!

Diana - I know what you're feeling. The initial sticker shock is kinda hard to swallow with this plan. The enrollement fee is the biggest lump sum that I've spent yet on this plan. I can't imagine that I'd ever have to spend that much again. I've re-enrolled as well and thats half the price of the initial enrollement. My brother and two friends all lost over 70lbs each on this plan and I still waited to enroll due to the price. But I'm so glad I finally did join. I lost 72lbs in the first 24 weeks of the plan and have been steadily losing the entire time. My only question to you would be, how much weight do you need to lose? (I'm not really asking, just wanting to give you something to think about.) I think if you have alot of weight to lose...say more than 50lbs or so, this is a great plan. The money is well worth it and your health is worth more than what this costs anyway. There are people who join MRC with less weight to lose, but I think if I'd had less to lose, I might not have joined. But thats just me. That being said, I would recommend this plan to anyone I ever met. I'm a HUGE MRC supporter. The bare minimum supplements would cost you less than $50 a week. I know...still alot...I had to chose to put a monitary value on my quality of life. If I hadn't joined I would have remained at 350+lbs and would have been walking into a life of medical problems and restraint caused purely by my size. MRC could cost alot more and still be well worth it to me. If you decide to join, I highly suggest you make yourself at home here. This is a wonderful group of people who are at varrying stages of the plan (some beginners, so of us who have been at it a while and some maintainers) and we will be happy to answer any specific questions you have about MRC. Just ask away

Ok, so I did it, the first time in my life that I have lost any kind of weight over Thanksgiving! I got to sign the 25 pound board, and I fit into those desired, size smaller jeans over the holiday!!!
